My Two Day Sale Figures

Don't expect any exciting figures here. I just want to show people my figures as a case study example.

I held a two day sale on Monday and Tuesday and I offered this sale to a list of 189 people.

My usual open rate is around 33% but my Day 1 open rate was 24% and Day 2 open rate was 20%.

I was a little disappointed with the Day 1 open rate, especially since I gave away great stuff in the previous two mails, but I had expected a fall off in open rates on Day 2.

Anyhow 45 people opened the mail on Day 1 of which 2 people clicked through and bought.

On Day 2, 2 more people clicked through and bought.

So my sales for the video were $81.

I did not sell a OTO on Day 1 but on Day 2 I sold 3 OTO's for sales of $143.

Therefore my total sales were $224.

I've read that you should make $1 per person on your list per month so my goal for November was achieved.

2 people unsubscribed from my list and I had send the email out both mornings.

The products were not in the IM niche.

I am aiming to release a new product once per month.

Edit: After posting this post I found a nice message in my inbox. I sold another OTO so OTO conversion was 100%.

Total sales $272.

Good stuff, seems like a very responsive niche that you're in.

Producing a new product each month is good going too. Hope you can keep it up.

The problem lies more in creating bonuses that seem worth more than the product I am selling.

I should have enough product in around 6 months to start mixing and matching them to create irresistable offers.

First of all, well done. It doesn't matter how big or small the pay check is, so long as you are out there taking action and earning that money.

Second of all, don't just be happy with $1 per subscriber per month. That was a figure thrown around years ago probably by some pretty lame Internet Marketers. I will tell you there are plenty of marketers doing way more than $1 per subscriber per month (me included) so don't look at that as a benchmark figure because it's not. You should always be aiming higher and higher... so long as you are helping your list at the same time.

As they say, the only limits are the ones we place upon ourselves.

    Best of luck!

I'll definitely try to beat every element that I can in December.

The $1 per subscriber seemed like a nice initial goal.

Very nice well done. Starting out with sales based stuff is always a great starting point to learn the ropes of this game. If you are looking to scale, look beyond the hill at switching from getting paid per sale to "per lead", which is usually a lot more lucrative as it splits the risk between you the affiliate and the merchant. Also you wont have to create product after product you can then need to sell, you just crank out more squeeze pages (well, big professional looking squeezes that is, ha!). That's what I do anyway

But any questions just let me know and congrats again!

    My sincere congratulations.

Sounds like you got fresh subscribers via your capture page and keep advertising them your products. They are interested to buy from you as long as you offer them exactly what described on capture page.

Keep them warm and they will make you even more sales!

Wow. Thanks for all the comments guys.

I am thinking of offering a $199 product for December using a simple 'Frank Kern' type email but really stressing the benefits of the product.

Lots of thinking to do yet but exciting times.
