Should you use your real name in your ClickBank Product?

Let's say you're making a guide on how to create something or how to achieve something; should you use your real name i.e. "John Smiths guide" meaning that you also introduce yourself in the video by your real name etc.

The only reasons I can think of for not using it, would be maybe if you didn't want your real name out there in reviews or having social media accounts in your real name been connected with the product etc. I'm not sure what the usual approach with this is.

Thanks, just wondering.

I don't think Clickbank cares. I once have a product with a pen name. It doesn't matter in my opinnion.

All depends on whether or not the product is any good!

I personally use pen names, and brand awareness more and more these days. I think if you put yourself in the 'buyer's shoes' they wont know if your John Smith or Dick Tracy, what's important is the product meets or exceeds their expectations.

All those 'shiny objects' we hear about might have some of the best sales copy and copywriter's behind them, but in the end - most fail to meet (let alone exceed) the buyers expectations.

Doesn't really matter what your name is; it's what can your product do for your audience that's important!

depends on niche..If the niche is female dominated, then a female name will resonate more with audience..

If you would like to use a pen name then there would be no problem with that. There are a lot of writers who use pen names.

It depends on the niche and your personal preference. There are several embarrassing niches where you may not really want your real name to be revealed.

On the other hand if you have an excellent product and want create a name for yourself then you should use your real name.

I find many internet marketers using their real name in the IM niche and pen names in all other niches.

If it is a top quality product, of course you should be using your real name for the credit and the exposure which can help you in the long term.

If you release another product later on, people will remember your name and think 'oh that's the guy who created that awesome product from before, I'm going to check out what he's done lately'.

If you have a bad product then it is not wise to use your real name.

Scratch that, if you have a bad product, don't release it.
