Is Pitch Plus my Only Alternative?

Hey Guys,

I have a launch coming up soon and my membership site uses OP1 and Wishlist Member.

I have one front end offer and two up-sells, and each of these three items has a corresponding down-sell, so a total of 6 products in all.

It's set upon CB, so it looks like I have to use CB Pitch Plus to get the sales flow happening in an orderly manner.

Has anyone out there used Pitch Plus? And if so, did you tackle the Sales Flow setup yourself, or hire a coding guy?

Alternatively, can I just advertise for a php encoder here in the Warriors for Hire Section?

Any suggestions gratefully received?

You don't have to use Pitch Plus. You can offer upsells or downsells on a thank you page as long as you clearly provide the purchased product at the start (and not force the customer to plough through pages of upsell/downsells) .

Regarding the use of the Thank You page for upsells...

Not as I understand it Harvey, since you have to take your purchaser to register on your membership site (I mentioned Wishlist Member) through the secure registration link that WLM provides, and which MUST go in the "thank you" page field in Clickbank. So all that can go in that field is the URL of the Membership Site registration page - nothing else.

You can take them to an upsell AFTER registration, but then it all starts to look and feel a bit messy.

I'm not familiar with WLM but if you are saying that the secure registration link cannot be put on a thank you page then I don't see how Pitch Plus can help because you need a thank you page to provide an upsell or downsell.

It was my understanding Pitch Plus was advantageous because people do not need to enter their payment details a second time whereas they would if using the thankyou page method?

Yes - that is correct. But my comment was just to say that if you want to have upsells and downsells you are not forced to use Pitch Plus

That's right WillR, using Pitch Plus allows you to just keep on selling and present your payment details just once. At The end you get provided a single CB Order confirmation sheet listing all your pages, together with the Thank You page URLs for the products you've bought.

The issue is, that where each of the items you've purchased is simply a new higher level in a membership site, with more features and content for example, then you MUST use the secure registration link supplied by Wishlist. You don't have a choice.

(They do it like this to prevent fraud, as the secure url will only work immediately AFTER payment has been received, so it can't be passed on to your mates etc).

However, in practice, it means you can't offer up-sells via your 'thank you' page - as far as I can tell.

If I've got this wrong and someone can tell me how to achieve this, I'm listening. But it's important that purchasers are taken through as smooth a purchase process as possible.

Pitch Plus promises to do all that I need, - it just isn't all that easy to implement yourself. If anyone knows where to find an encoder, shout up now please

        Cheers guys,

        Paul

Many product launchers have used other systems that have worked for them to implement such.

Ask them, borrow from them - stop using this one if you have doubt.

You're right Pat they do. Often they use Infusionsoft which is a whole different ball game in terms of price though. Not quite in that league yet

    Hi Paul,

If you are still open to suggestions, then may I suggest checking out DigitalAccessPass (DAP) which fully and seamlessly integrates with CB PitchPlus?

And because DAP integrates with CB via INS (CB's version of Paypal's IPN), it doesn't matter how many upsells or downsells (or none) the buyer purchases - by the time they get to the end of your funnel and back to your web site, DAP would have already created their membership account, given them access to one/all/none of the upsells/downsells they purchased using the same name and email id they used during purchase, and access to everything they purchased will be waiting for them in the member's area on your web site, all under one login account.

And since there is no "temp URL" to mess around with, and everything happens server to server between CB and DAP on your site, it's 100% secure, and you can create your sales funnel with as many upsells/downsells as you want, without worrying about how to manage all of it on the back-end, as DAP takes care of that part, as long as you set up the basic CB/DAP integration using INS.

      Hey Ravi,

thank you for that, and 'Yes' I'm certainly open to suggestions for sure, because I'm in a situation where I can't move forward unless I find an answer. So far, you seem to be the only person that actually understands my problem completely.

I'll do some more research about DAP as you suggest, and take it from there.

But can I ask you another question Ravi? Initially, my problem is with setting up the Pitch Plus Sales Flow, as it needs a certain amount of PHP coding which I don't know enough about to do properly myself. That's the thing I have to deal with first. Is that something that DAP can somehow automatically implement for you?

Thanks for your help on this one Ravi - I appreciate your thoughts

      Regards,

      Paul

    Hi Paul,

You will still have to do the stuff that CB expects you to do to set up the flow. But other than that, the DAP integration is fairly simple.

Once you set up DAP/CB integration, CB will notify DAP with each sale.

And since the account in DAP is created with the buyer's email id, whether they buy one product or multiple (through your upsells/downsells), they get access to all of the content under the same account.

And because DAP uses CB's INS to be notified, there's no need for the buyer to click on the "Return to merchant's web site" at any point. Whether they click or not, DAP would've already created their account even as they complete each purchase, and would've emailed them the login details. And you can also optionally have them be directed back to the member's area at the end, and have them automatically logged in as well.

We also have a done-for-you service where we can help you set up the CB integration. Feel free to ping me offline if you have more questions.

    Cheers!
