[Affiliate Marketing] Facebook

Firstly, I would like to thank Allan James and Alexa Smith. You guys have helped me directly or indirectly in many ways Thanks a lot.

Here is the question,
Should I send my facebook traffic directly to sales page or to my squeeze page?

People talk about building a list, isn't the fanbase on facebook page is same as building a list ? Other than, email marketing is bit more like behind the scene marketing.

Why not provide valuable content on facebook page everyday and once in a week share an affiliate link ?

Thanks

Because.. you don t own that list..FACEBOOK DOES.. and in a second if they decide for any reason, to take your page off, or to let you without you administrative rights..you ve worked for nothing.
Instead if they are on YOUR list you have control.
You can still post valuable content on Facebook, and send them an email everytime you do this..this way you will increate thier trust in you, andtrust means money.
Besides this, you can earn money from your list by selling solo ads, so..you would have 2 income streams..

Not to mention, posting on FB does not guarantee each person will see the post. If they have a lot going on in their newsfeed they could easily miss it. With email it goes to them personally and directly.

A better idea would be to build the list, create a good relationship between you and your prospects by posting good content that helps in solving their needs, not only on your fanpage, but also on your blog or site; even when sending newsletters, link them to you blog or site. This will create a sense of trust b/w you and them. At specific times make posts on your products and link to your sales page or place your affiliate links; your clients will definetly rush it except they are freebies seekers (which i'm sure you don't want to deal with). In a nutshell all I'm saying is what has been repeated so many times "Focus on the customers' needs and the sales will come in naturally".
