Anna, your post may get deleted because you should really be advertising your job in the "Wanted- Members looking to hire you" section.
You will find some great writers (myself included) in the Warriors for hire section.

Definitely the warriors for hire section. You can find writers like myself advertising services for lower than their typical rates.

Make sure you read the reviews first in the threads

I would hire people directly in the WSO section. Perhaps what you could do is split up the work into different chapters. If it's a topic easily researchable then it may not be too difficult to get it written quickly.

Go with Freelancer.com and Odesk.... they are the current top free lance websites. And it's 100% genuine. I, myself have been experienced with freelance.com.

  • freelance.com is very nice! I hired writers there. It has a decent monthly fee. If you want to save, you can go to craigslist to get a free lancer.

Well, the answer to your question depends on the quality you're looking for.

If you're looking for cranked out nonsense just to have some content, then $1 content mills are clearly the place to go.

Textbroker/iWriter both have options to get super cheap content written but most of it will be copy/pasted, fail the Copyscape check and will be spun incomprehensible content.

You have the very own hiring forum here and other forums like DP but those are also filled with a lot of foreign "agencies" who will try to outsource your work to other cheap writers.

There are great people here, on ODesk, Elance and all over the map. However, it all really depends on how much you want to pay because any respectable writer isn't going to respond to a query of $1.00 per 100 words (which seems to be what a lot of clients on forums and content mills want to pay).

    Try Fiverr
Also, please don't do this... if you want some Fiverr quality, I can just hand pick some Wikipedia copy/pasted content for you.

From the perspective of someone who has hired writers and has done thousands of articles over the years; you get what you pay for. It's that simple.

ALSO: You should post in the Hiring section of this forum. God knows it could use some actual work there and not just people looking for free reviews, which seems to be all it's used for these days. People are trying to get reviews on their hot new software/product coming out for $7 (I assume that's the price they'll be using...)

Also, I just wanted to add my experience with Freelancer.com.

I've read several reviews of similar situations to mine, so this is obviously something that is common.

6 months after I used Freelancer, they went into my PayPal account without notification and withdrew two amounts that were less than a dollar.

This PayPal was linked to a bank account I no longer used, so it had a zero balance.

I was charged two NSF fees totaling about $90.

When disputing the charges with PayPal and Freelancer, Freelancer wasn't able to provide a proper explanation for the charges.

Freelancer refunded the pennies they withdrew from my PayPal, but wouldn't discuss the NSF fees that I had to take care of.

So far my only bad experience with Freelancing sites, but will never use them again.

The Warrior for Hire section is one of the best places to go. After that, Elance and Odesk. As what NBSEO said, avoid Freelancer; I also had bad experience with the network in the past that cost me $50 in account balance never withdrawn.

Are you looking for a Professional Content Writer
        {{ DiscussionBoard.errors[8749121].message }}
  • Throw a rock in any direction and you're going to hit someone who claims to be a freelance writer these days. The trick is to find one who can actually meet your writing needs. For that, I'd go to the warrior for hire section.

eLance is also good if you want to go that route, but no matter what you do, be careful of who you hire.

Best thing you can do is hire a VA-writer to do all your writing "in house" for a salary, next would be to hire a independent freelancer (Warrior for Hire!), and last would be to use a freelancing site that's dedicated and specialized toward writing, i.e. their system is setup for ordering text content, no bidding, proofers, editors, admin all setup for writing services, etc., etc.

I would go with the Warrior for Hire section and support our fellow internet entrepreneurs.

Staff.com and Onlinejobs.ph are really great sites to hire freelance writers, VAs etc.
Most of their writers are from Asia (Philippines, India etc) where the cost of labor is way to cheap compared to an in-house writer.

You can recruit full time / part time writers depending on your needs. Hope it helps.

IMO iWriter and warriors for hire are best. iWriter should be faster though.
