Just saw for once a useful adsense ad for hostgator black friday 2.98$ hosting. I'm already hosted with hostgator but I only payed for 1 month which ends on the 16th. Can I like pre buy my next 6 months at 2.98$ or am I locked in with this 9.98 for 1 month fee?

Other hosts had BF deals too. You realize HG is now one of the worst web hosts? You should not ever be renewing your current account, much less adding others.

I'm not squeezing/luring anything.

You've likely been reading too many fake "top 10" lists, and reading glowing fake reports concerning Hostgator by people that want the affiliate commissions. But real people would heavily say otherwise, and I linked to many other posts right here at WF that have those first-hand horror stories.

But if you insist on using a known-crappy host, then good luck to you. You'll need it.

Hostgator is owned by EIG, a holding company well-known for buying up good webhost and turning them into mush. For shared hosting, there are better alternatives which are not owned by EIG. Take a look at Site5, Arvixe, SiteGround or WebHostingHub for non-EIG hosting that is reasonably priced and reliable.
