hey guys im looking for a good way for getting traffic to my site

ive done facebook ppc which turned out good but im looking for other methods

does anyone know a good way of getting good traffic to my site

  • Regularly blog commenting and forum posting helps a lot. Matt Woodard built a top 100 blog by only blog commenting and forum posting. Be sure to leave a link back to your blog/website though.

  • What's the niche for your website? Are you talking about the one in your signature?

      I think this question needs to be answered. for that will help get the right result. for example, there are some niches that works best using yahoo answer. And there are some other niches that works best for facebook ads. So it depends on what you are promoting. Study your niche and find out the best marketing media to use.

      But you can try any of the suggestions given to you above. it can still work for you.
  • Youtube marketing is always a top suggestion. Learn some of the basic techniques and you'll start getting traffic from Youtube. If you're serious about it, you can even create a little following from videos alone.
  • Look into Media Buying; this is a very powerful way to drive targeted traffic to your website. Make sure you understand how to do it properly before you jump in. The Warrior Forum and Google are good places to start learning about media buying.
  • I would go with Youtube videos and commenting on other simliar sites

    to build backlinks.

  • @ Devilfish: A forum in your niche, for example, or one that is not related to your niche but where they do talk about your niche from time to time.. To make things easier on yourself - before you make a site, pick a niche where this part is easy to do..

      That was the best source for me outside of Google organic results.

      One of my videos eventually got over 400,000 views. That's trickled off now as the niche that video was in has been revamped and the google algo tweaked so that the video doesn't get the views it used to.

  • For me the best free traffic right now is pinterest and stumbleupon..
    Just find some articles about pinterest and i am sure if you put it right you can also get good results from pinterest
    and remember pinterest is all about quotes, recipes, travel, DIY, home decor , Gifts, Women fashion, only these niche;s do best on pinterest

  • Find out relative Facebook Fan pages with huge fans then contact the admin to promote your site. It's cheap and well targeted.

  • One of the best traffic sources I've had plenty of traffic from recently is stumbleupon, make sure you have an interesting title and you'll get a small surge for the next hour or two.
  • Facebook ads is still the best way to get targeted traffic in ANY niche.... you can access virtually anyone in your niche on Facebook so that's what I would suggest.

    In terms of free traffic, YouTube is your best bet in my opinion

  • best way to get traffic is to give away something valuable for FREE! This can be done through frequent blogging, building a squeeze page, youtube marketing, etc. FB ads can be profitable too.

    YouTube
    Google
    Bing
    PPV
    Media Buys
    Solo Ads
    Blog
  • I use solo ads a lot now and think many other methods take too much time.
  • The different "free" traffic sources work well, but only for the right products. I get great conversions from Yahoo Answers and extremely poor conversions from YouTube. If I have to take a wild guess, YouTube would be much better for gaming sites and anything gaming related, gadgets, music, etc.

    Trust me, it is a source of high quality targeted audience, mainly female audience. You'll get lots of traffic and it will increase your conversion.

  • Like has already been mentioned relevant posts in forums can lead to great potential in any business.

    Free traffic methods do work but take time.

    Make use of social media sites but learn how to do this well and these sites can drive a lot of traffic. Use multiple sites and not just Facebook.

    Be consistent in your traffic strategy by working at your traffic methods everyday

      the main and long lasting and potential traffic you will get from forum,blog posting, youtube commenting,myspace commenting and lot of ways are there.

      and the most important thing i must say use fresh and unique content for your website and change it frequently to get traffic and potential buyers.

  • Here's a nice free way to pick up additional, quality site traffic.

    Find your most popular keywords
    Add google alerts for them
    Open the alert sites and post comments relevant to the discussion with a link back to your site

    That may sound simple, but it's incredibly effective and won't cost you anything.
  • I assume you are referring to targeted traffic, as opposed to blind/un-targeted traffic. Really, the best method is with paid traffic. You can do ppc, ppv, interstitial, and even press releases. The benefits of these methods is that they provide on demand traffic. You do however require a budget to test and work with. Good luck to you.
  • It really depends on your niche - but as long as it isn't insanely competitive, I would opt in for SEO.

    It's certainly not fast but I'd say it's easily the #1 source of laser-targeted, 100% free traffic.

    But as I said, if you're in a very competitive niche, you will probably have to use either SMM (Social Media Marketing) or paid advertising such as Adwords or FB Ads.

  • Ask yourself : Do you have more time or money?

    If you have more time then money, focus on ONE method and ONE method only.

    You can search "Free traffic methods online" for tips and tricks.

    If you have more money, always start off with a low amount of money then scale.

    You can search "Paid traffic methods online" for tips and tricks.

    The TRICK is to focus on one method until you are producing results.

    I know for me personally I used to jump from one method to the next.

    It left me no where but spinning my wheels.

    Find one method that you like and stick with it until it gets you results
  • i will always focus on social media traffic and forums. I will also do same for search engine optimization.
