How to Add a Tracking Code to ClickBank Offers?

I was wondering how do you add a tracking code to ClickBank pages since you only can see the page but can't make any modifications or additions to it? Do you have to contact the vendor and ask them to add your code and will they do that if every one promoting their product asks them to??

You can append a TID tracking code to the end of your ClickBank hoplinks.

    For example nickname.vendor.hop.clickbank.net?tid=youridhere

This will allow you to identify sales withing your ClickBank account associated with specific tracking I.D.'s.

Would show you what site brought the sale? Like I am promoting the same product per say on ppv site, ppc site and my own site, will it show what site made the sale and how do you find out if it does?? Thanks.

What I do is allocate a unique tracking id to every link that I put out. I record where the link is placed, what the product is, the product and the link itself in a spreadsheet. That way you can look up exactly which link created the sale. There are currently more than 4000 links in my spreadsheet.

That's how I started and later I added redirect code which logged every click into a database so that I could pull stats from years back. Clickbank analytics only go back a few months.

More recently I added visitor tracking to my code so that I can now see where a customer came from as well as what they bought. That way I can also see how they navigated my site.

I have to say that I am a programmer and I developed this system myself because I couldn't find anything that would do the same job. You don't have to be a developer to put a unique tracking code in every link though.

yea, do it this way because contacting the vendor to add your tracking code will not work. Imagine if all their affiliates contacted them to add their tracking codes that would be a nightmare for the vendor.

If you want to track PPV / PPC campaigns then you should use a free script like prosper202 which will get installed on your server. There are other paid tools also like cpvlab.com for tracking.

A script like prosper202 will give you more granular details keywords, referrer etc

You should add it at the payment success event. The code requires payment info. So it is important that payment information are available in the page. Please make sure that your page do not get redirected. Also please note that a 'redirected thank you page' is not the page for it.
