I just have a product listed on ClickBank last week. Since that time I realized that I can't sit and wait someone else see my product and become my affiliate.
So, I decide to 'come out and play' to get more affiliate. Here's what I've done so far :
1. Adwords - I start bidding keywords that related to 'affiliate program' or 'join affiliate program' for 0.1 per click for Search Result and Content Network. Until today (7 days running), I got 1412 impression from Content Network and only 91 impression from Search Result. but, ZERO click!
2. JV - While my ads are running on Adwords, I tried to submit JV email to 60+ websites. to be honest with you, this is the first time I use JV. so, better for me to tell you exactly what I've done. I searched on Google, Digg, Delicious or any sites that can provide me list of websites (specially personal blog) then I start contacting them personally (not sending a mass email - don't worry I'm not a spammer). Only 2 respond my email, but I don't see his / her hoplink on my Google Analytics. Means, I still got nothing in result...
3. Twitter - I have 300+ followers and following 600+ people. My twitter mostly are internet marketer, because I got those friends from internet marketing group. But, I still don't know whether announcing my affiliate program on Twitter is ethical or not. I did it once, but as you may guess... I got no affiliate from that. Maybe because my tweet can easily drop to next page on those who are following me. I don't thing tweeting it once again is a good idea, right? but can I use twitter to leverage my traffic?
4. Facebook - Last 3 days I just start a campaign on Facebook. Not CPC, but CPM, Targeted on US. the result is 2600+ impression, 1 click. fortunately, this doesn't cost me much. Only 0.4 per 1000 impression. please note, that this ads is not to sell my product, but to recruit affiliate.
Today is my first week after ClickBank gave approval email, I'm still struggling to recruit affiliates. I'm sharing you this because I want to know whether I'm in a right track or not. I will open my mind to hear any idea from you to tweak the progress...
