Anyone reverse engineered domain authority?

I would like to be able to determine what factors affect domain authority in what way. Has anyone been able to determine the critical factors and their weight so as to understand how to calculate domain authority yourself?

I'd be willing to pay for such insight if it was available!

      Specifically moz domain authority-- good clarifying question. I suspect their algo changes over time, but I would love to be able to dissect /understand domain authority changes better.
