Brainstorming Internet Business Ideas

Here is a good read I thought I'd share because it had some interesting ideas:

Let's talk about some internet business ideas. Get a cup of coffee, or your favorite drink and sit back with a pen and paper.

Brainstorming your business ideas is fun! You're going to expand your "vision" to get to the perfect solution.

You already know "something about something". Whether from a hobby, from your work, or a traumatic experience where you came through in one piece. You know the information will help other people to live a better, more healthier or happier life.

The key is to share your knowledge and add value to someone's life. There are people who want to know what you know, because what you know and how you communicate the message, is unique.

List your ideas

How to use keywords to attract targeted traffic

Make a list of everything you can do (not necessarily what you think you're good at, as we tend to down talk ourselves). What are your strong points? Did you experience an extremely stressful incident and eventually found solutions? Finding solutions to problems is one of the best internet business ideas you can come up with.

List down any health, emotional, financial issues you solved.

I remember years back I bought a secondhand car that was supposed to be written off ... like in ... go to the scrap yard. It wasn't and I had a badly damaged car. (Yes, a third party gave me a certificate wherein they claimed there wasn't any previous accident damage or rust.) Hmmm... this cost me nearly 4 months of sleepless nights. Eventually it turned out fine. The dealer swopped my car for one he would give his daughter to drive ... and attorneys were not even involved.

Next ... (now this one is easy) ... identify your passion. What are your hobbies?

Do you love gardening? Do you have a special "feel" for an exotic plant? Orchids come to mind.

Are there any special places in your area few people know about?

Do you have a unique recipe for a special occasion like Christmas, birthdays or Valentine's Day? Include it in your list of internet business ideas. How about one of our mother's old time favorites? (Hmmm...). How do you know it's unique? You get the compliments!

Your message is unique!

Do I hear "Yes, but someone else has done it already?"

How many books have you bought on the same topic? Each writer conveys the same message differently. Keep this in mind. I am not talking just about e-Books here.

Quality content either in e-Book, video or audio format to solve a problem will always be popular. It's one of the best internet business ideas to sell a solution in different formats. Especially if you over deliver with valuable content and enrich people's lives. In fact, it will become one of the best kept money secrets for online success. (If it's not already.)

Your video or audio doesn't need to be an hour. It can be a series of 5 to 10 minute videos. (Yes! Show them on video how to prepare your Valentine's Day and Christmas finger-licking-good dinners.)

Keep your ears wide open. Casual conversations could be a gold mine for internet business ideas to add to your list.

You don't have to decide which one is "the best" yet, just keep on making a list. After a while it'll become a habit to add to your list of internet business ideas to use for years to come. No one said you can't have more than one internet business. Keep these ideas to expand your internet businesses in future.

There was one successful marketer told me:
Sometimes it is very hard to turn your hobby into a business. You better to know what most of the other peoples' hobbies. From there, you'll know there is a market demand.
It is difficult to let other people to follow your hobby so that you can sell them a product, but it will be easier to change yourself to suit into their hobbies and introduce your products to them.

That's some good stuff, but I also second E.T's post about "other" people's hobby. I suggest researching what is selling or what is being searched for in a niche market and find something you feel you can break into along the lines of having a site that will have 1st page results at the search engines with little competition. Sell what people are looking for. Find a solution to their problem and sell it to them.

Doesn't really matter guys where the ideas come from - it really doesn't!

I've developed ideas from reading forums and turned them into successful products.

I've developed a product based on a personal life experience and it is selling like crazy on Clickbank right now.

I've developed products based on a pattern of Yahoo Answers...again it is moving very well.

My first product was a hit right out of the gate back in 2000 after reading two or three of the top products in the field and finding a glaring GAP in the information.

I've coached others who have taken their hobby and turned it into a 6 and even 7-figure business.

All of that said, every one of these ideas I have put through the same rigorous tests - competition, keyword research, offline (books, magazines), "test" websites, test affiliate products and finally to successful product.

When I haven't followed this process, the products missed the mark, and yes, I've had my share of those too...

When it comes to idea generation - brainstorming can be used along with lots of other idea finding techniques. Then you enter a phase of commercial testing and even what I call a "beta test" phase were you test a site, blog, sales funnel and related products to see how they sell before you dive into product development.
