Could be good, I like S2. i am not sure I understand the part about taking payments through payGear from paypal. PayGear is a paid product, I think.

Does MemberGear work directly with PP or other payment gateways?

They have a few paid services and plugins and when you try to purchase them, you are redirected to PayGear payment platform (which seems to use only Paypal). So I guess Paygear belongs to them as well and they use it as the integrated payment method.

I highly recommend Paid Membership Pro (free WP plugin). Can be integrated with bbPress. There are many payment systems. Among them, of course, and PayPal.

What is the best - Settings are intuitive and easy. without unnecessary complicating.

It's a proprietary membership script tied directly to the PayGear marketplace. I guess if you want to sell through PayGear, it's a good option, but otherwise, no way.

Why is it free wow where the people who coded paid? How will I get support? Just not clear why this is free when I pay for membership sofware over the years?
