If someone can "hijack" your aff link, he can most definitely also do the same if the link is cloaked, more so if you use anything other than a personal cloaker - so that's practically a baseless statement you've heard.

And, I'm saying this with a good many years of IM experience behind my back!

I'm not saying its not possible, but the probabilities are as much as your updated website getting hacked. So, throw those worries out the window and focus on making money.

    To your success

This is something I often hear especially about Clickbank affiliate links.
I don't think there is a sure way to identify that.

What I noticed the other day is that just taking out the 'affiliate A' id out in the link and replacing it by an 'affiliate B' id will not send the affiliate commission to affiliate B.

link hijacking is a conversion tactic.

It doesn't really exist, and if it does exist it occurs on a tiny tiny scale.

I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about it.

Just make sure you get your Clickbank affiliate link DIRECTLY from Clickbank and you will have no problems.

interested to know how people can hijack links. They must really be computer programming wizards or experts and therefore very few in numbers if they really exist
