Brainstorming new site ideas for the new year

Ok I've fallen in love with a new site design and backend system I recently finished. I created it for my photography site but I think it might really go over well for other topics. I'm tossing around the ideas of recipe, gardening, home decorating, crafts or a combo site that includes each of those topics.

Alternatively I could use it as a base for a newsletter design, shopping system, etc. I think it's pretty flexible and appealing for almost any photo-centric site. Thoughts? Ideas? Critique? The design is here: Photos at Perception Stock

The first thing that came to mind was a recipe site. I think it would work great for that.

Just looking at it on my iPhone. Seems a nice, clean and attractive layout but it doesn't work too well on a mobile.

Chiefly the menu bar is partly off screen and the bottom menu is not very clear.

Thanks guys, exactly what I'm looking for. Recipes is my first thought too. The various mobile specifics aren't finished yet but it should play nice in all screen sizes soon.

Nice website, a bit different from others which is a nice thing
You just need to have social sharing buttons, and when you open an image it is good to have recommended image which could be similar one's
Also when you hover over text in bottom , you are unable to click it, you need to move your mouse slightly above text then this small triangle appears which is clickable, so you need to have a clickable text for more convenience
Also if you want long term results why not have a small package of images and give them in return of opt-in a gr8 opportunity for you to build your list

Excellent feedback guys thank you! I didn't realize I'd dropped the ball on the mobile displays. I'll step back and take care of those before moving forward.

    Thanks again,
    Kathy
