All-In-One: Traffic Tips

We have hundreds, and possibly thousands, of threads in the database on getting traffic. It's one of the most common questions raised, by new folks and more established members.

Let's put all that advice in one place from now on.

If you're going to comment on a technique, resource, or strategy that's been mentioned previously, please try to add something to what's already been said. Keep the signal to noise ratio high, and this could end up as one of the most valuable threads in the place.

On your marks...

I'll throw out the first tip: Talk about something people want to know.

    Instant Traffic Strategies:

    1. Social media marketing - especially Twitter. Join groups, be an active part of discussion, etc.
    2. PPC + other advertising - SMM aside, if you want instant traffic, you need to shell out bucks.

    Long-term Traffic Strategies:

    1. SEO.
    2. Content syndication.
    3. Guest blogging/posting.
    4. Article (directory) marketing.
    5. YouTube.
    6. Slideshare.
    7. Document sharing websites.
    8. Blogs created whose sole purpose is to promote another.

    Returning Traffic Strategies:

    1. Build a list.
    2. Give 'em a reason to come back. That means crazy awesome, gob-smacking Superman content.

The biggest thing with traffic however, is recycling it. Making it stick. There are only so many people out there - once they visit your site for the first time, they should come again. And again. And again. Until every single red cent in their wallet has been sucked out and sits in your back account (just kidding! ).

Regards (and this is gonna be a good 'un, Paul)

    • You can buy leads, use a hyper dialer to call your leads and connect with them
one on one, and according to how the conversation goes, if they qualify share
your website with them. Do phone broadcasts and provide the option for leads
to call you instead. Use postcards.

Getting traffic is all about leverage.

Whether it's through social media, adswaps, traffic buys, SEO, guest posting, etc., getting traffic works by utilizing levers.

You can't be the only one pimping your wares. (Well, you could, but it won't get you nearly as much traffic as the suggestions made previously.)

Leverage is why we care about Google search results. Higher rankings mean that our pages get seen more often. More visitors, all other things equal, means more people taking you up on your call-to-action (whatever that is).

There aren't many levels longer than Google.

Leverage is why we care about social media. Is there anything bigger than Facebook right now? Oh, sure, its growth has leveled off, maybe even slipped. But it's pretty dang big.

Where else can you get in front of (potentially) 1 billion people?

Add up all your social media contacts: Facebook friends, followers, and fans of your business page. Twitter followers. LinkedIn contacts. People in your Google+ circles. YouTube subscribers.

Think of their networks. How many people could you get an offer or blog in front of if your contacts made mention of it on their status updates?

        LOTS.

Leverage is why we care about affiliates. The more people selling your stuff for you, the better. Right?

I mean, could you sell 1000 copies on your own of product X that you poured your heart and soul into? Maybe.

But wouldn't it be "easier" to have 100 people sell 10 each?

        YES.

Leverage, my friends. Whatever you do, try to figure out how you could "lift more" with no more work (or even less work).

Free Traffic can be quite lucrative if done correctly with some patience.

I did it for many years and continue to do it.

However, when you do start to develop some impressive cash flow from your IM efforts, it really only makes sense to reinvest that in Paid Traffic.

You need to diversify your sources of traffic with both Free and Paid !!

Guest blogging on blogs within the same niche is a great way to drive free traffic. Buying some well written articles and submitting them as a guest blogger, would be well worth the investment.

Google “submit a guest post”, “guest post guidelines”, “accepting guest posts” with the niche keywords behind it, and you will find plenty of blogs accepting guest post's.

Also you don't have to find blogs accepting them, you can just email webmasters in the same niche, and offer them free content via quality guest posting, many would welcome you to post with open arms.

A well placed guest post, on a site with alot of traffic, and mass social following could bring thousands of free visitors to your site.

Guest posting = one of the most underrated traffic methods

Guest Blogging can be used for squeeze pages too right? I'm pretty sure I've received opt ins to my squeeze from articles and blogging before...

Smart forum marketing is and will always be a great way to drive targeted traffic to a website. Find forums related to your niche by going to google and search for "keyword + forum" and register to every forum that you can find.

You will notice that I said "smart forum marketing" so you are not going to post about your website ever - unless someone else mentions it in a forum post/thread. You are going to provide valuable information and engage on forums conversations. Act like a normal forum member who wants to learn, collaborate and share what you know.

After 15-20 posts you will add your website to your signature line. Make it interesting so other forum members will notice it and want to click. When you add your signature line it is going to appear on every post you have made so far and that is how you are going to market your website without talking about it directly on your posts.

However, make sure you read the forum rules before you even start to make your first posts. Some forums do not allow links on signature lines so it would be a waste of time and effort to find that out later on. Also, each forum has its own rules and you should know them in order to be safe and build a good reputation which is going to help you attract more eyes to your signature line and website.

      very well said. Also

      1) find the exact threads (not just forum sites) of your keywords
      2) find the forums that frequently have threads of your interest
      3) find and study the popular threads related to your keywords.

In terms of free traffic, I think people concentrate WAY too much on putting out as much content as possible, whether it be blogging twice a day or submitting 20 videos to YouTube, but in my opinion and from my experience content is like eating at a great restaurant.

It's the QUALITY that's most important, and not the quantity. One article could results in hundreds or thousands of leads if it's great content, same with a YouTube video... whereas if you spin your article into a million (English As A 100th Language) articles that don't make any sense, chances are you won't generate any leads from it, or at best very little.

In terms of PPC or paid traffic, I think Facebook is still the best source for traffic.

I have to agree with you on putting out quality content. I have been trying for a few years to put out daily content on the couple of blogs I started.

I have chosen now to try to make sure I blog at least twice a week, but not necessarily every day, which allows time to research topics and put solid content together.

I agree on the quality content. I have visited many websites which have poor content or clearly PLR content. When you start reading, straight away you get really confused about what they are trying to say. An immediate turn off-for me

      I totally agree with this,

Just dumping out tons of content may bring you some traffic, but, why would I come back to your blog or site--if the content is terrible.

However, if you take the time to actually write content that is useful and is really in-depth about your topic or niche--the reader will know you are truly an expert in your niche--and chances are, will keep coming back to read more of your stuff--or check out more of your videos.

The other thing that keeps me coming back to sites is really in-depth reviews of products--telling me more than--it is a great product--as this tells me nothing.

But if you break the product down and tell me why you like it and why you don't and what it can do for me--be it heath or business related--I will keep coming back to your site

Most free traffic takes a few weeks or months to build up. So if you're doing free traffic and it's looking slow, don't give up. Keep going!

Social media is more important now than ever before.

    Youtube is a beast.

    And SEO still works.

Those are 4 of my best free traffic tips.

No matter what kind of traffic you're getting, get an optin! Build a list of people who are interested in the same things you are and you can have your own traffic source whenever you need it.

Did I mention... build a list?

    Facebook methods:

    1. Attract fans
    • Facebook ads to fangate requiring a like for premium content. Redirect the fangate to a squeeze page or a well-monetized page on your blog.
    • Post awesome viral content (easier said than done)

    2. Post content your fans love with a link to your site for the rest of the content.
    • Use link status updates for more clicks.
    • Use images for more engagement (include a link to your site).
    • When fans particularly like a post, promote the post with Facebook ads.
    3. Double-Whammy Method (get fans and subscribers at the same time)
    Facebook ads to fangate
    • Redirect fangate to squeeze page
    • Send fans and email subscribers to your website

    4. Facebook Dark Posts
    • Use Facebook dark posts (in Power Editor) to create many posts for viral content and promote it with ads. This way you don't post the same content over and over to the News Feed.

FYI: using Facebook ads, you can send traffic via posts, dark posts or directly to your site without building up fans. BUT building up a fanbase offers traffic with every post to your FB page.

    Joint Venture Email Marketing.

Paid subscribers of email lists are more prone to click-through to offers and blogs that provide relevant subject matter to past purchases. The purchases include, but are not limited to websites, software, etc. The subject matter include, but are not limited to websites and software with compatible features.

The traffic from other marketers lists is targeted traffic. The income from the targeted traffic is usually split by a percentage, so the end result is targeted traffic and additional income.

Later in the day I received guest post inquires from Warrior forum members...like JR John above.....appreciate your insight JR, and the interest

Dive in whether you want to be on Facebook Groups relevant to your niche, or Warrior, or if you are working twitter lists.

I work each spot aggressively, and really the more you put out there in terms of sowing the more easily you will reap in terms of traffic.

I use aggregate traffic sources and leverage opt ins ala the war room.

What I mean is, all of my content generally leads to value then the ability to get more by opting in, not the typical opt in to get more information.

It seems to work a lot better and I get a crap load of traffic from it.

This is a very smart thread....

So to recap the "how to"

    1. Setup marketing collateral with something of value.
    2. Allow prospect to opt in so have a squeeze page behind whatever you deliver
    3. Follow up, follow up, follow up...email autoresponders for a month work nicely right here.

    Thanks for the thread.

    Regards

I think if you are a newbie that the many methods of generating traffic can be completely overwhelming especially if you have not got a marketing budget yet. My simple advice is this:

Find a marketing method you are comfortable with (free or paid), get good at it (no need to become an expert) then start again with another method.

    My personal favourites are:

    Solo ads
    Ezine ads,
    List swaps
    Article marketing.
PPC (although I don't do a lot of it now)

Quick tip is this: If you are looking to drive large volumes of targeted leads to your business quickly you quite simply have to pay for it. From an SEO point of view, I have found Article marketing to be great (although can be slow and time consuming)

    Hope this helps guys.

    All the best.

    For me what is working
Stumbleupon -- give random 20-30 stumble to random sites using there toolbar -- then at least 5 stumble to your site, this is i think limit per day you can send to one site
Content will be deciding factor here -- List of top places to travel, Top 10 paleo breakfast recipes -- Top 10 mountains you must see -- These kind of article[list top 10] do really well on stumbleupon

Pinterest -- Join pinterest make some boards and repin other users pin
Make sure you have at least 10-15 boards with at least 500 pins combined in all of them
you can do this easily in day, just find some cool profile on pinterest and then repin their pins and make similar boards
After that search for group boards
    use this query
    site:pinterest.com "1000..100000 followers" KEYWORD -intitle:followers "contributor"
replace KEYWORD with any of your term like diy, travel, recipes, food, clothing
Most of the time instructions to join any group board [a kind of group or community where anyone can contribute on permission of creator] will be given in heading use it to join or comment on any pin requesting owner to add you

The fastest way to drive FREE traffic to your website is Forum Marketing.

Once you register in the forum look for the posts that gets 5,000 ,10,000 views and then write something similar and better. Not only will you get thousands of views you will also drive hundreds of people clicking on your signature file.

Do this many times a day and you can easily hit your first 5,000 visitors within 30 days all from forum marketing.

This is great advice. I think people become swamped if they look at lots of possible ideas. As a previous commenter mentioned, it is best to focus on one method, master that one and then try the next.
This suggestion of looking for posts with lots of views is excellent.
I also like to mix that strategy with commenting on a new post that is likely to draw a lot of attention.

Sounds like cloning or piggybacking. But intriguing none the less. Not sure why I hadn't thought of this before as I used to do a similar technique in the blogging world and it worked well.

Now that I think about it many of the BASIC things I and others did in the beginning are the things that actually worked but somewhere along the line we got too sophisticated. Time to go back to basics fitting it to modern times

      Image/photo sharing traffic.

There are many image sharing sites, such as flickr.com, where you can share your images (in any niche) and include a link back to your own site/blog.

But you know what works even better? If your website URL is written on your picture! This can be extremely powerful if your image goes viral. Memes.. hint hint

Here’s a complete list of photo sharing sites that you can use: List of photo-sharing websites - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

      Document sharing sites

Here are top 20 document sharing sites:

      eBay.com traffic

eBay is one of the biggest internet sites on the internet. And as with other big sites out there, there’s always a way to get a slice of that traffic.

You can do this by selling reports and e-books you write in your niche (write some useful how-tos and sell them for very low price, the point in this case is the traffic, not the money).

Also you can create an about page , where you can put a link to your blog/site.

      Craiglist.com Traffic

Craiglist is the most trafficked classified ad site on the internet. Craiglist traffic can work for any niche: bizz-op, dating, free stuff, local lead gen.. you name it.

You can also try these classified ad sites:
      ablewise.com
      adoos.com
      adpost.com
      allfreeads.com
      american-classifieds.net

      Pinterest.com traffic

According to Mashable.com, Pinterest.com Drives More Traffic to Blogs Than Twitter! Also Pinterest is generating more referral traffic to websites than YouTube, Google+ and LinkedIn *combined*.

If you are not utilizing pinterest traffic yet, you are missing out a lot.

With Pinterest you can promote almost anything, from Amazon, CPA, Adsense sites to your own products and clickbank offers.

      Missspeled domain traffic

This goes more into the grey hat area. I’m not doing this nor do I recommend, however I’ll cover this anyway if you want to take a risk

Miss-speled traffic is essentially a traffic that comes from missspelled web addresses. For example, there are millions of people everyday typing google.com into the address bar, a small % of these people sometimes make a mistake and put gppgle.com by mistakenly clicking “pp” instead of “oo”. So, if you owned gppgle.com I bet you’d received a great amount of traffic every single day. Get the point?

This is just an example, however you can still use this idea on other websites. Here’s a hint: trending events. Such us popular movies. Right now when I’m writing this post on WF, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" is all over the place. Having this in mind, you can buy all sort of variation domain misspellings or typos.

      Coupon traffic

If your business offer coupon codes for your product or services, don’t forget coupon directories. People love discounts and coupons. Groupon.com is a living example.

Make sure you add your coupons to the following coupon/deal of the day directories:
      bensbargains.com
      couponcabin.com
      couponcraze.com
      couponcraze.com
      coupongirl.com

People love video, but they also love audio too.

      prlog.org
      prurgent.com
      release-news.com
      theopenpress.com
      webnewswire.com

I highly recommend paid PR sites. Why? For example, PRWeb.com for $89 will distribute your press release to thousands of news sites including giants like cnn.com, bbc.com and other.

You can get thousands of visitors and hundrends of high quality links from news authority sites. Just don’t forget to include your website link in your press release!

      CPA Network traffic

This one is for more advanced marketers. If you have a product (in any niche) you can put your product in front of thousands of active affiliates (publishers) and start receiving sales almost immedeatly.

      Infographics (viral traffic)

Inforgraphics are getting more and more popular these days. The only downside is can be expensive to create one, however if it’s done right – the results can be enormous.

Successful infographics can go viral at the speed of light. Bloggers simply digg infographics! They are also very popular on Pinterest.com and Digg.com.

Having an URL on the infographics or giving the permission to repost the infograhics including a link back to the site can bring some nice amount of traffic.

Hope this will give you some idea. I will update this list later on.

      Btw, great idea, Paul!

        Missspeled domain traffic

This goes more into the grey hat area. I'm not doing this nor do I recommend, however I'll cover this anyway if you want to take a risk

Miss-speled traffic is essentially a traffic that comes from missspelled web addresses. For example, there are millions of people everyday typing google.com into the address bar, a small % of these people sometimes make a mistake and put gppgle.com by mistakenly clicking "pp" instead of "oo". So, if you owned gppgle.com I bet you'd received a great amount of traffic every single day. Get the point?

This is just an example, however you can still use this idea on other websites. Here's a hint: trending events. Such us popular movies. Right now when I'm writing this post on WF, "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug" is all over the place. Having this in mind, you can buy all sort of variation domain misspellings or typos.

I highly recommend paid PR sites. Why? For example, PRWeb.com for $89 will distribute your press release to thousands of news sites including giants like cnn.com, bbc.com and other.

You can get thousands of visitors and hundrends of high quality links from news authority sites. Just don't forget to include your website link in your press release!

The only downside is can be expensive to create one, however if it's done right - the results can be enormous.

Hint hint ... Thanks for this useful resources

This one is for more advanced marketers. If you have a product (in any niche) you can put your product in front of thousands of active affiliates (publishers) and start receiving sales almost immedeatly.

        Infographics (viral traffic)

Inforgraphics are getting more and more popular these days. The only downside is can be expensive to create one, however if it's done right - the results can be enormous.

I believe the best tip is to create a list and rather than constantly trying to pitch them products or service, is to COACH them on how to become successful on the internet and you will create a true following.

your right on target - the road to success is through list building, and then treating your list with respect. YouTube has provided me rapid list development by driving traffic to an opt in instead of directly to an affiliate offer or website.

To get traffic, simply start making connections / friends / contacts on as many Social Sites as you can.

Each day, add to your collection of friends / contacts on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, MySpace, FriendFeed, Tumblr, Tagged and whatever other sites you can think of.

Create Facebook pages that will grow by themselves (I notice that Facebook fanpages about celebrities grow pretty quickly).

So for example, each day you make 20 new friends on Facebook, 40 new followers on Twitter, 30 new contacts on LinkedIn... after a month or 2 it really starts to add up.

Then you have created your own traffic network to send out your blogs posts and offer things that might interest them (and that they will probably buy from you) - either affiliate offers or your own products.

Build a list also (and more importantly) because nobody can take away your list. A Twitter account of 50,000 followers could be taken away from you at any time, because you really do not own it. Your own list is a long term asset which will bring you traffic for years to come...

Some other ways to get traffic :
Posting on forums, posting classified ads on Craigslist, Backpage, UsFreeAds, OLX as well as paid classified ads in newspapers and Pennysaver type papers (Old School, but still works), creating a 30 to 60 second radio spot (I got some really professional radio spots done on Fiverr) and paying popular radio stations to play it, blog commenting, uploading videos to YouTube, dailymotion and others, guest posting on related blogs, paid banner ads or text ads on related blogs, document sharing sites like Scribd, articles posted to EzineArticles, ArticlesBase, etc.

For the time consuming methods (such as posting ads on Craigslist or Backpage) you can pay a V.A. to place the ads for you. I have found reliable people on Fiverr to post ads and many other tasks which get me traffic.

PPC and PPV are fast ways to get traffic but take lots of know-how : I am still learning and experimenting with these 2 methods...

My Advice is to Go Viral on Youtube and FaceBook

To put the above in practice, it is not easy but if you are creative and innovative, you will come across some good ideas which will put your videos, images and posts viral on these social media platforms.

I have hundreds of videos on youtube and they send me thousands of free traffic to my dating sites. Not all of these hundreds of videos are of good quality but there are some very good videos and those videos are constantly shared on social media platforms by viewers.

I have one youtube video which has been viewed 16million times. It is a very simple and short video of 5 minutes but the message it carries is very impressive and people love to share this video with others. I came up with this video's idea after days of thinking in innovative and scientific way.

The conclusion is that it is difficult to get Viral on you tube but if you think deeply and if you are creative, you can come across some new and creative videos which will go viral and in return will bring you millions of visitors to your site.

Tip; Keep asking your friends, colleagues and family about their ideas on how you can create impressive and attractive video. You never know, one of them might be able to show you the gold mine.

    Now Face Book

Millions of posts and images are shared on Face Book every day and most of them are not seen again on Face Book but there are some posts and especially images which are shared thousands of times.

Can you get such an image with great idea in it that it get shared thousands and thousands of times?

Well again it is a difficult task. Not easy to be achieved but if you are creative, you can do it. I have shared thousands of images on my 80 face book pages but only few of them have gone viral and they brought me lots of business.

Luckily in August 2013 I shared one image on one of my face book page, that image went viral on Face Book. It was shared 167348 times [as of December 20th 2013] That image alone brought me more than 100K fans to that page [the page was about one of my dating site, so it did send thousands of members to my site]

Sit down, think, be creative, be scientific and see what kind of innovative, creative and impressive image you can come with which will go viral.

Tip; Keep Testing and testing. I promise if you are determined, you will come up with some fantastic ideas about getting image viral on face book.

Good Luck to You All and Again Get Viral on You Tube and Face Book and You Will See A Big Growth in Your Business.

Since we are all on the topic of traffic, I budged my nose into this thread since the topic was exactly that!

Traffic is a very common topic here on the forum (of course mentioned already!), and I would be more than happy to impart some of my tips right here.

Here are the top 20 methods that you can use to generate quality traffic online:

    1. Guest Blogging
    2. Long Tail Keywords
    3. Create Targeted Social Media Engagement
    4. Join a Social Group
    5. Build Higher Quality Links
    6. Google Plus Communities
    7. Strategic Blog Commenting
    8. Create important Connections
    9. Interview a “Respectable” Person
    10. Write a “Controversial” Article
    11. Social Media: Facebook, Twitter, Google plus, Pinterest, LinkedIn, Instagram
    12. Write a large “List” Article
    13. Focus only on Two or Three Methods
    14. Host a Contest
    15. Write a “How To” Article
    16. Write Longer Content
    17. Forum Posting (Like this particular post!)
    18. Gain more “Authority” Links
    19. Article Swapping
    20. Create an Event or Webinar

    I hope that helps!

Great information guys but this is going to leave people
feeling totally overwhelmed and confused as to which way
    they should turn.

    For me...

    ...It would be this...

...GET THE MOST FROM YOUR TRAFFIC (whatever method you use lol)
by BUILDING AN LIST from it.

This will allow you to extract the most from your traffic building efforts
and allow you to re-invest and keep turning the wheel of adding more
leads into your business on a consistent basis which is vital for the
    longevity of your online business.

To expand on what gcbmark just wrote... to avoid the overwhelming feeling of information overload, just pick 1-2 traffic methods that you enjoy and put forth 100% focus towards ONLY these chosen methods.

Doing this will yield you the most traffic and you won't feel like your efforts are being wasted if you were to instead hop around to many different traffic methods.

awww, understanding the correct way to use a forum. With a forum this large we are going to have people who will not take the proper steps. Lazy! No offense its just... They treat it more like a chat room! Lets create a traffic forum and just have the common methods as threads. My biggest problem was I didn't have someone saying do this, do that. I created goals based around other successful marketers and then implamented what I think is the correct plans to get there. Again, we don't have somebody really holding us by the hand saying do this no do that but do it this way instead....

    Hi Fellow Warriors!

We did a LOT of testing in 2013 to find out which traffic sources
converted best into subscribers and sales.

Some of them were complete failures. Some of them did far better
    than I would have guessed.

We've taken all of the data from 2013 - and created a list of
    our top performers...

    1. Recruiting Affiliates.
    2. Facebook Ads.
    3. Solo Ads (Extremely Selective)
    4. Content Syndication
    5. Blogger Outreach
    6. Forum Marketing

We ranked these based on how effective they were AND how much
time they took to implement. Building and nurturing our subscriber
list is the #1 activity in our business. But I only want to spend
2-3 hours per day on traffic. So I zone in on the highest leverage
    activities.

I always say KEEP IT SIMPLE AND IF POSSIBLE FREE.

      4 BEST ARE:

      1) POWERFUL SOLO ADS USING ACTIVE LISTS FROM OTHER EXPERTS IN YOUR NICHE
      2) HIGHLY RELEVANT KEYWORDED YOUTUBE VIDEOS
      3) BACKLINKING FROM FORUMS LIKE THIS ONE
      4) FB ADS EASY TO USE HIGHLY RELEVENT AND TARGETED QUITE CHEAP
      Now, that's targeted.

Keep your costs down by mastering one at a time and test each area. But just remember that, you have to BE THE END USER/CUSTOMER. Where are they.

You may be thinking one dimensional. Getting the articles on the Google search engine, then people finding you by Google.

Never depend on a single source for traffic.

Utilize the articles further. Place them on your website, then share title, description and link with social media sites. Have an rss feed and promote subscription to that as well. A good alternative to an email list.

I have been researching for the last couple of weeks the best ways to market your business and generate leads/sales. I wanted to share with everyone what I have found and ask that we all add comments on additional ways to market a business online and offline.

I have tested out some of these marketing methods and will comment on the experience/results as well.

    1. Join a networking group - (I joined BNI networking group which has chapters throughout the U.S. and referrals for Web design clients have already started coming in)
    2. Join your local chamber of commerce
    3. SEO your website - (I have had clients and lots of proposals sent through my website because of SEO rankings)
    4. Create and market a Youtube Video - (I have created youtube videos for my services and my clients, haven't seen any positive results)
    5. Respond to Craigslist ads - (I keep coming back to this method and don't know why, haven't had any success in 2 years)
    6. Pay Per Click Adwords (Tried this several times and spent about $300, with no leads. I have clients that spend $1,500 per month and generate 1-2 leads per day)
    7. Paid Online Press Release - (I send out about 8 PRweb press releases per month and get minimal results, maybe 1-2 leads over a year).
    8. LinkedIn - (I have created a SEO Group and got real members up to 42 but barely any interaction besides my posts)
    9. Facebook, Twitter - (Some interaction here but no leads have come through social media)
    10. Yelp Reviews
    11. Local Newspaper Ads
    12. Direct Mail - (I sent out 50 postcards expecting maybe 1 or 2 phone calls and received 4-5 over a 3 month period.)
    13. Cold Calling
    14. Cross Referrals - Work with another vendor in a similar industry

Please share your experiences with any marketing strategy that you have tried

Thanks for sharing your experience! I love when people are talking about what they tried and not just some ideas which look good

From my experience long term natural SEO traffic is more efficient than everything else in terms of ROI.

I built my first website specifically to earn income back in 1999.

    It flopped.

I struggled for many months to get traffic to my website because I really thought if I built it "they" would come.

    But nobody came.

Fast forward to today and I know get more traffic than I know what to do with. I'm going to share some of what got me there.

Well, 1999 seems like a million years ago and yet, it sometimes feels like it wasn't that long ago. But I digress.....

A big newbie mistake that I see, when it comes to obtaining traffic, is that they focus on:

    1. The quick dollar.

    2. Methods / tactics / specific tactics.

Yes, you CAN send targeted Facebook and Youtube traffic to your Teespring hoodies and t-shirts and you CAN make some good money, but many people are getting slaughtered trying that trendy money-maker because they don't know WHAT makes it work.

The first step to getting traffic that converts is to know your audience. Paul Myers gave a simple, but very effective tip in advising folks to "talk about something people want to know."

Before I even think about getting traffic is that I first try to find a market that I can "niche-down".

I'm going to use one of my favorite markets as an example: the dating market.

The dating market is HUGE, much bigger than most people realize. According to the 2013 census report, in 2012 there were over 103 million single and "unmarried" people in the United States alone (imagine what this is globally!).

Yes, I realize that not all 103 million singles date, there are some that don't. But guess what, the majority of them WANT to date and that's a really important distinction to make.

Well, the dating market is massive and it's a bit too general for my taste. So what do I do? I do some research and find out WHO is advertising on certain keywords. I can't list them all here but I'll start with Google and do some quick searches on keywords such as:

how to meet women (hmmmm not a lot of searches)
    how to talk to girls
    how to talk to women
how to talk to women in bars
    how to get a girlfriend
    dating ebook
    buy dating ebook
    buy dating book
    best dating book
    best dating ebook
    what to say to women
    what to say to girls
    confidence around women
what women want (use a -movie so I don't get the movie with Mel Gibson in it)
    how women think
    how girls think
how to ask out a girl
    conversations with women

By using these keywords on Google I'm looking at BOTH the organic search results AND the paid for results (pay-per-click in this instance).

So after doing this precursory research I realize that there it appears that giving dating advice to MEN is a very profitable niche.

    How do I know this?

Well, I found some articles where men were willing to pay $10,000 to $30,000 to hire a match-maker to find them a mate!

    Are you freakin' kidding me??????

My $17.95 ebook would help them do that right?

Well, I don't know yet. I have to TEST it. By doing my research I begin to subscribe to a bunch of lists (ezines and opt-in forms), reading all the free reports, download the apps that talk about "attraction", yadda yadda, yadda,,,,

In this specific niche, I notice that a lot of the big players are paying for advertising; well, they're NOT going to give them their hard-earned traffic sources so I begin setting money aside to test different offers.

This was a good list to start off with:

    http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...uces-ever.html

I started off with Pay-Per-Click ads on Google, Bing, and Facebook.

If you want traffic there are plenty of ways to get it:

    1. You can BUY traffic.
    2. You can RENT traffic (think Joint Ventures, using paid lists, etc.).
    3. You can appear in organic search results (SEO is the most popular, but it's not the only way).
    4. You can use the MEDIA to get traffic (think press releases, appearing on radio or TV)
    5. You can create viral campaigns to get traffic

The fastest way to get traffic is to either buy it (#1) or do partner up with someone who already has it (#2 and #4).

First, find out who your audience is and then focus on the traffic.

The key to getting traffic is to not only find out where the eyeballs are, but if those eyeballs are BUYING. Now, how do you find this out? There are two big clues that you have to look for:

    * Competition
    * Advertising dollars

A few years ago I met a fella making $65,000 a year NET by selling ant farms and a few other pet-related items. And that's fine. I then introduced him to a fellow who was making ten times that much by selling pet-related items to dog and cat owners.

Something to think about. The size of the niche you go after is important, so is how you position yourself.

I'm not knocking Mr. Ant Farm, as he was perfectly happy with his business, but he did tell me that he wanted to earn more income but he didn't know how, which is why I introduced him to Mr. Dog and Cat man....

    To be continued...................

They're not; I have found them to be a complete waste of time. For many types of offers I have found paid advertising to be the fastest, most efficient way to obtain traffic and scale it up.

While my content-rich websites follow the basic rules of SEO, I don't waste any timee actively getting links or any of that other nonsense. Some people do and it works for them and that's fine. From my own experience, it never made any sense from a pure ROI perspective for any of my sites. Yes, there are marketers crushing it with SEO, but for me it's always been too much of a pain in the arse.

Despite my feelings, I think every marketer should still know the basics of Search Engine Optimization, especially if you update a blog or authority website regularly.

Some people have asked me (and in this forum) how can building a list be a traffic generating technique?

Well, you certainly need to get SOME traffic so you can capture a visitor's e-mail address (or mobile phone # or mailing address, depending on your business model), but as you are building a prospect list you can market them other offers.

A big mistake I see people make is that when someone buys from them and they either don't add them to a buyer's list or they have a buyer's list, but they STOP marketing to them.

That is known as a back-end funnel and that's where a lot of the money can be made.

      Something to ponder.

SEO seems bit time taking process as you have to wait till you rank on first page of Google. For instant traffic I recommend Facebook ads.

Facebook ads are cheap and you will get highly targeted traffic for a low CPC. Be sure to choose the ad group seriously.

After it list building, blogging, video channel (Youtube), Facebook and twitter pages, RSS feeds, Forum posting are also well know traffic strategy.

    Thanks

I would like to add Social Media Syndication, it combines the power social publishing sites like Onlywire, Hootsuite and Sendible, with a syndication service that distributes your content to other peoples social media profiles. Its like increasing its' power by thousands of percentage since you would have access to post on thousands of profiles you could not do with Onlywire, Hootsuite and Sendible alone.

Imagine how many more people will see your posts, including friends of all of those people who are syndicating your content. If its done right and your content is great, there is nothing stopping it from going viral.

It is also the only thing you can do that improves SEO, Traffic and Branding. Its the future

The best way to get traffic is to build your own platform on the Internet. Start a blog, post to it regularly and start to make a name for yourself. Tell visitors what you do and how you do it. Promote your other websites and products and review and recommend ClickBank products. Add the TubePress plugin and add your you tube channel. Repurpose your connent, YouTube, SlideShare, Facebook, Twitter and Ezine articles. Don't forget to guest blog for other websites. Traffic takes a bit of time to build up bit it does increase if you build a better platform for yourself.

I've found that Facebook ads gets me a lot of traffic.
When I write a new post I add a link to it on my Facebook page, add an enticing picture then pay to boost the post.
I try and narrow the audience that will see my ad down to the right age group / demographic.
You need a good title and an attractive picture - apparently breasts get the highest clickthroughs but I haven't tried that yet!

Well, I am going to say it - There is no free traffic. It used to be article marketing, the latest one is guest posting. These all cost money.

Now if you are living at home and your parents pay for your room and board I guess your time is worth nothing. The rest of us have things to do most of the time - working, spending time with family, recreation. The time you spend agonizing over a guest post is time/money spent.

I see guest posting as a way big bloggers are simply getting good to great content for free. If you really dig into the guest blogging course they tell you not to expect a ton of traffic/opt-ins from a guest post.

In my mind, it is much more economical to put up Facebook ads with a good, targeted opt-in magnet.

    • Compelling content provides the best ROI you could possibly imagine. I started my latest website February 26th, haven't spent a single dollar on advertising or marketing and as a cool April present cracked the 1,500 daily visitor mark. It was a ton of marketing expertise but it all boiled down to the content.

Make Sure Your Site Looks Nice

By the end of March I was getting almost 500 visitors per day and started soliciting feedback from users. Overwhelmingly the feedback was that the content was great, the site was hideous. As a result I invested a lot of time and effort into a big site redesign. As a result I literally tripled web traffic overnight.

      Actually Engage With People

I drop links to my site on forums and on social media but I try to exercise moderation and mix this up with a lot of actually engaging with people. Some of the best networking connections I have made have been as a result of taking the time to engage with a forum rather than look at it as a spam tool and I have even obtained several new clients as a result. Just my two cents, great thread.

There is a ton of great info here.I look at traffic from 2 angles, free and paid traffic. The free traffic is more time consuming but it helps build an authority through blog commenting, forum marketing and video marketing. With these methods there is also the potential to add value as you can solve people's problems regarding marketing etc. For this reason I use free marketing quite a lot. I want people to come to me because they feel I have something to offer to them.

Paid is also great and I love that I can create a list much faster with this method- the best paid methods has to be solo ads if you ensure you are buying quality ones which go hand in hand with your niche.

So the way that it works is that you reach out to a marketer in your niche that you know have a bigger list than you.

Then tell that person you are going to work on sending, lets say 500 clicks to his offers over the next month, or two weeks or whatever you want.

when you have sent the clicks, you can contact him/her again and say that you want to withdraw your clicks now. Then you will recieve 500 clicks instantly, because all your partner does is send out one mailing to his/her list and boom, lots of leads!

It takes a fair amount of time of time, but it's a great way of getting for example 500 clicks to your site instantly when you're done. Remeber you can partner up with someone sending 50 leads if you have a smaller list, over the course of 10 days or so.

Also remember to be selective with the persons you partner up with.. You don't want to waste your effort and then get nothing back.. So it's kind of a risky game, but it worked for me when I tried it. Responsive traffic too.

      Thanks,

      Renè

This is honestly the best forum to be involved in. I have had my frustrations with my blogs and internet marketing. I am still coming back though.

My advice to you is to do better about being consistent in here than I have been. Come in here as often as possible and contribute.

I will be working toward the same thing in the future. Good Luck.

My favorite traffic tips these days...

1.) http://bufferapp.com . It allows you to share notable links you have found to your social media sites:

    Twitter
    FB
    LinkedIn
    FB Groups
    App.net

To wit, I just buffered this thread.

2.) You can use feedly: your news. delivered. to aggregate superb feeds in categories, thus giving you excellent content to share.

3.) This basically shares 'breadcrumbs' across the Internet - ideally you have branded all of your social profiles so people know where to go to get more goodness from you.

    My data points.

I could not resist here is a list of 101 ways compliments of Onibalusi Bamidele

    1. Write quality Posts :
This is the first tip which anyone would give to you. A Quality blog comes with quality content. Write well researched and detailed information.
    2. Comment on other blogs:
Needless to say, commenting helps in many ways. Free Backlinks and also for personal branding. Follow one thumb rule: Comment only when you have some value to add, else if you like the post and want to show your appreciation, instead of just saying “nice post”, like or share that post.
    3. Guest post on other blogs.:
With article directory value decreasing, it’s always a good idea to start guest posting. With a clever guest post campaign, you can build HQ backlinks and also increase your credibility. For a good Moz rank, it’s important to get high backlink and also to your internal pages and now homepage alone.
    4. Optimize

Alright, I know SEO scares you but believe me it’s not a rocket science. It’s like some good practice that everyone should follow. Learn about onpage SEO and also about how to give proper SEO structure to your blog. My suggestion, spend 2 hours a day for learning SEO and by the end of month, you can take care of most of basic SEO issues.
    5. Forums related to your niche and include a link to your blog in your signature.
    6. Make use of trackbacks – A trackback on copyblogger sent me over 20 unique visitors.
    7. Write list posts:
Now, when I say write list posts, it doesn’t mean go ahead and work like “Top 10″ “Top 101″, make sure your list is up to the mark and actually contains “Top” “Best of” instead of random websites or apps in your list.
    8. Write top 10 posts.:
    9. Write 101 list posts like this.
    10. Write about how to drive traffic to blog:
Everyone needs traffic and share your strategy which works for you. People like other bloggers who share the secret instead of keeping it to them.
    11. Build your mailing list :
Email marketing has existed from long and it will be there for long. People don’t like to miss Emails, and by creating a targeted mailing list, you are actually making a fortune for yourself.
    12. Write for tutorial sites – Like tutorialized.com, many of these sites can send you thousands of visitors per article.
    13. Work on getting covered by the media – this alone can help you gain a lot of traffic.
    14. Write Link-bait posts.
    15. Submit your blog to technorati I was checking my stats recently and I saw they are sending me a decent number of traffic (don’t underestimate their traffic).
    16. Join blogging communities
    17. Join Private Groups where they do retweet and promote each others post – this alone can send you a decent number of traffic.
    18. Blog Pinging:
Always ping your blog after writing your blog posts using a site like (Ping O Matic) - this allows some sites to cover and and can lead to an inflow of blog traffic.
    19. Submit your blog to blog carnivals – A good place to start is Blog Carnival

    20. Start a Contest -
Who doesn’t like free stuff? Start a giveaway or blog contest and get more real targeted subscribers. You will be amazed with the response which you usually get for contest. You can always start with 1-2 free domain giveaway.
    21. Create cool videos related to your niche and mass distribute it to vidoe sites by using a service like tube mogul

    22. Use your blog URL as signature in your email. (Use Wisestamp addon)
    23. Submit your blog to feed directories – they can distribute your blog posts to so many sites thereby leading to increase traffic to blog.
    24. Write a press release about your blog and submit it to free press release sites

    25. Advertise your blog using Google Adwords

    26. Advertise your blog using Facebook Ads.
    27. Advertise your blog on your local television station.
    28. Advertise your blog on your local radio station.
    29. Advertise your blog on your local newspaper.
    30. Advertise your blog in online yellow pages.

    31. Create a twitter get some followers and start tweeting your blog posts (make sure to use #hashtags).
    32. Addbuttons to your blog (at the end of all posts, preferably) – you will get more traffic when people share your posts.
    33. Submit your blog to directoories – they also send some good traffic (especially if you are a new blogger).
    34. Submit your blog to directories – every little traffic adds.
    35. Submit articles to article directories

    36. Start a controversial topic – Be very careful with this though, so that you won’t regret your action.
    37. Make sure you are listed in DMOZ – this is a Google-respected directory and getting listed can improve your rankings in Google and other search engines overnight, thereby leading to more traffic.
    38. Sue Google or any big company – the media will cover this and boom you are already getting lots of traffic.
    39. Always use StumbleUpon (make sure you submit many other site’s posts to so that they don’t ban you for spamming).
    40. Always use tags in your posts.
    41. Answer questions on yahoo and use your blog as the source.
    42. Write a post featuring the top influencers in your niche e.g. top ten internet marketing blogs, they might retweet the post and you will get some traffic.
    43. Contact many bloggers and ask them the same questions, compile all their answers into a post – They will most likely retweet it.
    44. Interview the top bloggers in your niche – they will retweet it and they might even end up linking to it on their blog.
    45. Be the first to cover top news – big blogs like techcrunch will cover it later and link to you as the source.
    46. Get listed in Google News

    47. Write a post containing pictures only – A great example is, the top 10 most ugly buildings on earth.

    48. Make video posts. Its is great way to go viral.
    49. Write posts in relation to celebrities e.g. What Michael Jackson’s death taught me about blogging.
    50. Write great, super-duper, killer headlines – headlines matters a lot nowadays.
    51. Do something that has never been done (sounds difficult? It won’t go unrewarded ).

There are 50 more just look him up he has a free article out there on it.

I will say though that withough the framework in place all the tactics and techniques will do nothing.

It is all about long term STRATEGY.

That is why you see people get made when all the WSOs in the world do not help.

    They are tactics and systems.

Free traffic is ok but you need to know where it is coming from. Every website I set up, I put AdTrackz Gold on so I can see what links the visitor clicked on. AdTrackz Gold is available as stand alone or as a Wordpress plugin.

I use either dependending if the site is Wordpress or not. Also, you should add Google Analytics. Another simple to install program is E404 redirect. This tells you when somone arrives at a non existant link and you can even reroute them to a different page depending on the name of the link they were looking for. Better still E404 tells you what search engines have spidered your site.

I even found out that WayBack machine had visited and the site had only been up about 10 days. E404 is brilliant for checking your sales funnel as well, it soon tells you about broken payment links and missing or incorrect pages in the funnel.

"Talk about something people want to know". Indeed Paul, but (in your opinion).you don't say where!

IMHO, this thread has turned out to be a most confusing one!! . Too much info, a victim of its own intention LOL. Not wrong, just confusing.

For what it's worth, I would suggest that the best place to attract traffic is to positions one's information in the places where one's target market spends it's time; place yourself right in their line of vision. How do you find out where they are? Nothing but research and due diligence is going to solve that one, and that's why most people don't succeed in IM (or any other business).

Use an extremely catchy profile pic such as one with a neon green or yellow background on youtube, key in your niche keywords, and then start commenting on the top videos that appear.

But please don't spam. Contribute more information or just compliment the video. Or if you want to slam the video, by all means go ahead. But do so in a justified manner. Say why the video 'sucks', why the information is not good etc and then perhaps even go so far as to suggest improvements. Nobody likes a sore loser, so avoid being one. And how would you like it if someone slammed your video without valid justification.

Let's compete gracefully. May the best man win.

    Hi Warriors,

Traffic is every webmasters problem. Whenever you got a good traffic, you will always need more. Just want to share some ways to drive more website traffic:

Social media - Social Media still plays a vital role in generating and driving more traffic to websites. This is one of the major channel in distributing your site's content to reach to your target audience.

Forums - Joining the right forum targeted to your niche will definitely increase your potential in expanding your network. In this type of community, you will meet lots of people having the same interest as yours.

Fresh yet Punchy Content - Fresh as always keeping your site updated with latest trends, blogs and ideas that will make your site valuable to readers. A site that is full of value is more likely be easily crawled by Google and will give you more exposure through the search engine. Punchy as it should make the impact right away.

    Please share yours.

Links in slideshare are not dead but you must have at least 4 pages in your presentations. That means when you have an article in there for example and you have links on the first site they are not clickable. When you have links on the fourth page then they are clickable. I guess it's to prevent for spam with low quality 1 site articles.

One of the easiest and best ways to get free traffic is the one most overlooked!
Your thinking is the precise reason for it too.

People are not just clickers - some are actually, thinkers! They can still actually read!

If your content is worth anything, they will see your link if you are smart enough to "brand" your graphic and video media with your link.

How many pictures I see on Google images and everywhere else, depicting products and services and someone never thought of putting a short link on the image, video, slideshow, etc.

I once saw a graphic that made me very interested in the product it was peddling and the affiliate who posted it didn't get my sale! You're not getting traffic and losing money because you let it go.

For me its all about Youtube and video marketing. Your videos rank quicker than websites (sometimes in minutes) Youtube is free to use, video is high converting so you get more sales.

    (simplified version)

    1. find your keyword and something to sell
    2. make or get a video made
    3. upload to youtube
    4. optimize channel
    5. share video on social networks

    Rinse and repeat )

Where are you sending your traffic, that's the first thing you need to get right.

It's no good working hard at traffic generation and send it to a website with a poor or non existent marketing funnel.

So make sure you are sending your traffic to a strong opt-in page with lots of value for your subscriber. If you get this bit wrong your hard earned traffic will move on to other things very quickly.

As far as good quality traffic is concerned....

...make sure it's laser targeted traffic and the best way to get this type is using Facebook Ads that only target hungry buyers in your niche. 100 interested visitors is way better than 10,000 uninterested visitors. So link apples with apples and you'll build a loyal fan base that will want to be on your list.

You can also get laser targeted traffic from forum marketing -- which is my second favourite at the moment.

    Just my thoughts 😃

    Set your goal.

Many people want high traffic. But, what is your goal actually?
Do you want a high traffic website or lots of money?

Having a high traffic website does not mean you can make lots of money.
There is this thing called conversion rate. It is calculated as how many people convert (e.g.: buy stuffs) / how many people visit your site.

Traffic DO have a quality. Select the right traffic source, suitable to your business model. Test their conversion rate. Rinse and repeat.

It's also beneficial to have a statistically-sound approach to testing your traffic. For example, testing based on click-through-rate or open rate isn't entirely accurate. It's important to use confidence intervals or you could be making the wrong decisions. If you're interested in the science of decision making, it's worth learning the basics of statistics. Doing so will do wonders for your split testing. It isn't required to succeed, but it will make success a lot easier.

    Free traffic sucks…!

It is too slow and it is not free….

You need to value your time. Most people don’t realize just how valuable their time is.
If you want to be successful online your time is worth $400/hr or more based on a 42 hour work week.

Free traffic is not scalable, your time is limited…If I sped $1000 for traffic and I make back $1500, it can be easy to spend more money and scale up your income and build list fast, at the other hand my time is limited to leverage free traffic as bloging, SEO or social media…

Where to get traffic to build responsive list?

I test out FB traffic, mobile traffic, PPV traffic sources and so on…. I spend lot of time to test all this traffic sources. I got very good results on traffic costs with this sources, but from my experiences the best traffic to build responsive list which will make you money are solo ads. Not only the best, but also fastest and easiest too… And the most important thing about building list with solo ads:

Great thread topic. I agree 100% with thedanbrown - good QUALITY content can generate much more traffic than 1000's of pages of "average" content.

I've seen this on my own blog - a handful of posts has generated more traffic than all the other posts combined.

    So:
I would say the best free traffic would come from content that your visitors find VALUE in, would enjoy and would want to tell their friends about. And, of course it wouldnt hurt if you already have a following - facebook/twitter followers or email list - to kickstart the viral effect

Traffic sources really depends on an individual. If you don't have much money but a lot of time on your hands then free traffic could be the best option. If however you are short on time but plenty of cash the paid traffic could be the best option. Overall I have found paid traffic to be the best option because you can switch it off and on whenever required. Which ever traffic source you decide to use just remember you never run out because on the internet there is never a shortage of traffic.

    Now let's get started!

Focus on startup type networks first since you will generate early adopter quality leads instead of chasing after them on major sites. For example, Papaly you're able to generate traffic from Google and relevant niche profiles. Another example, Ello you can reach out to users easier since everyone initially is an early adopter on the site. I'm only listing quality sites that will generate you traffic. Of course there are hundreds of social sites but these are the quality sites that give results long-term and short-term.

Overall, free traffic can bring you amazing traffic especially if your company goes viral. I would however stay away from Facebook likes and strictly promote post engagements. For those that are interested in why I brought up paid Facebook likes can view the video . Also, jump onto Pinterest ads as soon as you can because it will become public and cost more per click. All the sites listed have been used from personal experience and pictures are results from it.

Enjoy your long and short-term traffic along with quality links aiming back to your site! You will see a major boost inside the search engines. First it will mainly be long tail keywords but as the months go on you will be ranking for high competition keywords. Good luck on your success!

I would suggest Bing and Google Adwords. A really good strategy to do is create a campaign in Google adwords and then import that campaign into Bing ads. This strategy has worked well for me because Bing is competing with Google adwords to earn your business so you will be able to generate cheaper targeted clicks this way.

I'm getting better search results on Bing. It's just a matter of time till other people break their habits and go to Bing. Google's spending more time trying to keep people out of it's search engine than figuring out how to spider the sites better.

FB is still a great Medium to advertise in. But because of competition it is getting harder and harder to get low CPC. Especially when you are placing an Ad that goes directly to a Website or Sq. Page.

Better to do PPE to get cost down and connect to a Fan Page.

        That's right Robert.

Bid for CPC is very high, but CPE is lower than CPC.

There is a no considerable change between clicks.

  • My Successful Traffic Strategy Tips Are:

So here's what I recommend. Figure out asap what you can afford to spend per month on running paid ads, like solo ads and banner ads (two of my favorites). Solo ads are awesome because you can run an ad and earn a string of commissions same day. Banner ads are cool because you run them on other peoples' websites, and they just "sit there" making you money as people click and order - total autopilot.

Maybe you can afford $50 a month. Maybe $100. Maybe $500. I dunno. But whatever the case, set it aside and be SMART about it. Don't just think any old ad will work. Spend your money wisely just like you'd spend it wisely anywhere else. Advertising online isn't magic. You still wanna test small and THEN "go big."

And if you don't have ANY ad budget at all right now, then skip to the FREE methods and be prepared to spend more time advertising. That's totally ok! But here's the thing: The reason paid ads cost money is because other people have ALREADY spent their own time building a list or getting regular daily traffic to their website. So they're able to charge you a fee because they're sharing their traffic with you - the traffic that took them TIME to BUILD... So if you do free advertising only, you generally can't expect to get the same amount of traffic that they're getting. They've invested their resources and done the work and built the traffic. So with free advertising, you need to put in the time as well.

(...And that right there is a major factor that separates the 6 and 7 figure earners from the failures online. There are people who want instant cash online, and chase after shiny objects and all the latest launches one after another thinking they'll get it. And then, there are people who work to BUILD cash that eventually comes in on autopilot. Which group do you think succeeds?

So what I recommend especially in the case of free traffic, is deciding asap how much TIME you have to set aside daily or weekly. Plan it out and schedule it. When it's time to do your free advertising whether writing and submitting articles, or making YouTube videos, or participating in forum marketing, or writing for your own blog

PAID ADS (70%) - Instant Traffic and Income
    - SOLO ADS
    - BANNER ADVERTISING

FREE ADVERTISING (30%) - Spend more time advertising
    - WRITING AND SUBMITTING ARTICLES
    - MAKING YOUTUBE VIDEOS
    - PARTICIPATING IN FORUM MARKETING
    - WRITING FOR YOUR OWN BLOG

So whatever you do, don't quit!! Do whatever it takes to stay motivated.

    1. Frame the case (understand what your prospect needs to go through in order for him to get what he wants).
    2. Create an emotional hook (future page. Excite imagination).
    3. Back up with logic (engineer a "Aha! That makes sense!" response). remember, a confused mind doesn't take action).
    4. Establish expert positioning (tonality, expectation). Believe in what you say.
    5. Focus on value and assumptive close (focus on giving value not on selling, because that will take care of itself).
    6. Give specific instructions
    7. Keep it simple.

Implement this in your business and you'll see the difference

Blog traffic can be increased by good off page techniques. Posting regular content and sharing them in various social profiles will help to generate more traffic to your blog posts. This helps to build your blog popularity in various search engines.

      My Traffic Tip:

Don't just tap any traffic to your site or it will just lessen your profits or worse... make it negative... but tap "buyers traffic" even though it is not a truckload as long as it's a "buyers traffic", that should be every marketer's focus.

Personally, I just funnel those traffic who are already ready to buy and I get them from Google's search.

    On your marks...

I'll throw out the first tip: Talk about something people want to know.

I am getting value from people's replies here and I am not sure if someone already posted this but I will just share my number one traffic source that I utilize.

I use Youtube PPC. The reason I know they leads will be top notch is they would have gone to the search engine searching for a particular keyword I am paying for, they saw my video and clicked and they have watched my video or videos, got value fro it and then they are sent to my capture page where they entered their information to request more information from me(my lead magnet), so what this means is I did build trust in them

I have been generating quality leads using this strategy combined with blogging.

      Hope you find value guys

      Happy marketing and driving traffic!

Lots of people doing 5 or 6 different Social Media venues. I think it's most prudent to stick with two or so.

End up wasting a lot of time with too many, imo

  • I notice no-one really speaking on using rss as a means of getting traffic so definitely study that but of course it depends upon producing consistent content. Because once you have steady content flowing through an rss feed you can easily syndicate that feed or how ever many feeds you have which brings you traffic
