What Is The Best System For Seeing Traffic Stats?

Hey Gang,

I have a question, and just wondering what you guys think is The "Best & Most Trusted" System For Seeing Traffic Stats Coming To Our Wordpress sites as an affiliate marketer?

Do you guys use Google Analytics or something better?

Basically, I am starting to put backlinks out there in Social Media, and I'd like to see what are some of the best traffic sources so I can concentrate on them more.

In Many Thanks,
Kyle

Google Analytics is very good but I've also found Get Clicky pretty good too.

Google analytics will give you most everything you need. However, there are much more powerful analytics you can get through companies like mixpanel and kissmetrics.

I personally use Google Analytics and believe it has some good features. For example if I am doing offline marketing in a certain area I can see if I start getting more activity from that specific city.

It's most likely sitting in your hosting account and it's called AWstats.

Tells you what you need to know including referral URLs (where your traffic comes from) and search key words used to find your site.

    Straightforward, simple. My personal preference.

    I use Google Analytics.

Easy to install, shows accurate data, shows REAL-time data, shows behaviour, everything.

For a free program, that's excellent.

Yep, definitely Google Analytics, it not only provides traffic statistics but all the metrics you can think of. I like the fact you can use it on all your sites, I'm sure the others provide similar metrics but it's the one I started on and provides everything I need.

If I had to pick just one it would be Google Analytics. There are other trusted programs which can be used alongside Google Analytics that give useful information as well. They have free toolbars and can give quick information at a glance.

    Google Analytics is pretty good.

AWstats is (usually) already installed in your hosting cPanel. This data is the most accurate but no so easy to interpret.

Piwik has a superb interface, but you will need to set up a database.

Statcounter uses a WP plug-in and will give you most of the data you want.

have to disagree, Google Analytics is average at best and is not reliable,
had an e-commerce with google analytics showing around 80uniques per day, while we averaged 20 sales a day for 2 months,
we finally got the real numbers after installing a real professional tracking service, the tracking helped us to improve the ROI drastically
