Domain name and trademarks

Hello i have a question on .com domain registrations
can i register a domain name (.com) with a trademark/brand name?
something like: bestiphone5reviews.com, topsamsungproducts.com, awesomeappleipadreviews.com, etc...
are there any issues in doing that? Or just first come first serve?

Thanks

M

I think it's not a big deal if you are promoting affiliate products related to that. Big companies like apple don't care small websites like these ones... I ran clickbankproductsreviews before without any problem.

I dont think there is any problem with although I remember that google does not like it especially if you are using their products like blogger to host it. I however dont see any problem legally.
You also need to take into account that some companies may not want their affiliates to use their brand names in their url.

Just google domain trademark and you'll get some real answers instead of the BS that you've gotten so far. In most cases, like the ones you cited, you are probably going to get a cease and desist and have to turn over the domain to them. It is THEIR trademark and they can sue you if they want to, but most either send the cease and desist or file a UDRP to have the domain removed from your possession.

      This ^^^

DON'T use Trademarked names in your domain name. Never, ever, ever.

      Clear enough?

That way you never need to worry about the consequences and you can concentrate on what you are doing

It's not a big deal if you live offshore..but trademark is a serious issue , why would you put yourself in troubles for few bucks ..

By the way if you are doing that for SEO purpose just forget about it, doesn't work anymore ..
