The NEXT Best Traffic Source...

Warriors!

So right now, Facebook traffic is pretty bananas. It's still one of the most exciting large traffic sources I've used and seen in a long while.

But I am more curious what your predictions are for 2014. I hate using the term "hot", but I will...what traffic do you think will be the hottest this upcoming year?

With internet marketing constantly changing I'm sure their will be a ton of new "next best traffic sources". What I try and do is stick to what has stood the test of time, and continues to have proven results for other people. I'm all in for learning new things of course , but I think the problem with most people is they go from one shiny object to the next without ever getting results.

Google. Facebook is terminally ill and dying. I don't expect it to boom anytime soon. Unless some drastic changes. Research showed less and less teens go on facebook. So, I guess Google.

If you're into video marketing then Adwords for YouTube is a good option and this is much easier than creating normal landing pages to meet all the requirements for a good quality score. Another option that works well is bing ads. Of course, traffic volume from bing is much less compared to adwords.

Im going to go with google places being the next game changer. Its already a under estimated piece in the SEO puzzle, and I think more and more its getting stride.

Nothing will be new in 2014, all the mighty changes occured in this year.
Facebook will still be the top source for targetted traffic, google will take a step ahead as google+ is becoming effective.

For me, if the traffic doesn't convert, it is useless for me.. I look for only those traffics that convert good.

Traffics from search engine have good conversion rate so we should aim to get search engine traffic, for this we need to create content within our website so that our content will be indexed in Google and we will get traffic.. only creating content is not much helpful, your content should be unique, should provide helpful information, solve problems of the society...

I guess the next big traffic source was not discovered or announced. After all the changes we had to deal with, something new must change this scenario, but it is not visible yet.

I have been having some really good luck with Stumbleupon Paid Discovery lately (especially since the new updates).

I like it better than Facebook because:
      • Instead of a tiny little sidebar image your entire site is exposed to the reader/viewer
      • When people are "Stumbling" they are actually looking for NEW content unlike when people are on Facebook looking to interact with the familiar
      • Its as cheap, if not cheaper than FB
      • I can deliver a lot more of my brand within that initial contact point than FB ads

I will be the first to admit that not all of my content works with Stumpleupon and there are a lot of ways to screw it up.
      • Not having the "right" kind of content
      • The "look" of your site
      • Text above the fold not being inviting enough

      etc.

I developed a little content template that I like to use for creating content that I know I will be sharing on Stumbleupon PD.

The real power in Stumbleupon PD is being able to get the free "Stumbles" which reduces your PD overall costs. To do this you have to write good content. Even after having been writing as a professional for over 4 years, it is REALLY hard to write good content that will make an impact on Stumbleupon.

Social networking and mobile seems to be increasing in popularity even more as time goes on.

Targeting people who use social networking sites and mobile devices seems to be the way to go but I don't think anything will drastically change in the new year.

People need to concentrate on good SEO rather than jumping on 2 bit traffic sources which are never going to yield anything.

Hard to say what will rear it's head and dominate. I agree fb is killing it at the moment because of both paid and free techniques. Really hard to say as i'm not on the up and up with the traffic news.
