Hi Everyone,

This is my first post however I regularly search this place for excellent advice from you guys (the warriors).

My question is, I have started a web design business a few months ago, and I use adwords to try and get new business, im wondering what to expect from the festive season and new year??

Do business stop thoughts of spending on websites?? should I not market so heavily until late January maybe??

Any thoughts and advice would be thankfully recieved.

Deep

Interesting question. I know for sure the last 2 weeks of December and the first 2 of January are the slowest for me. It builds up slowly through the end of march and holds steady through august. I have another slow period from late august to the first week of October.

With that being said I made a sale yesterday, and have another 2 meetings over the next few days. I do wonder if how we get our leads would make a difference. I do local marketing only, and to some extent get business by word of mouth and through personal interaction. I don't know if the traffic paths would make a difference or not. To be honest I have never tried getting web business online.

All I can do if offer my experience. hope that helps! and by allmeans GOOD LUCK!

I'm graphic designer, and what can I say I get more clients during year celebrations such as Christmas, New Year, Helloween... But what I get is most posters and flayers design. I don't do web design, so don't know, how it changes number of orders you get

Interesting! Trends show that festive seasons are slow in IM, or is this changing? But it could be the market - niche too yah?
