How to create landing pages

Hello, How do I create landing pages within my web hosting. Can someone direct me to the right place/thing to do this. I know I need templates or something similar. I just do not know where to start.

And is having those little popup opt ins a good or a bad deal? I've heard that some ad companies don't like that at all.

I am sorry if this has been brought up already,but I am clueless on where to start to setup a landing page, do I need any software,etc...

      Have a look at LeadPages to get another idea.

      Basically you can build them yourself (HTML or WordPress) which can be rather technical or involved, or you can use a Plugin like OptimizePress or Instabuilder, or use a web-based service like the aforementioned LeadPages or Unbounce.com.

      I think LeadPages is easiest to get started. It has an ongoing cost, though.

    So, do you already have a host?

    If not then there are many different sources
    for that. Of course, if spending the money is
    not an issue. There are also many free
    sources that will let you create a free landing
    page. This video should help:

    How to Make a Lead Capture Page in 10 Minutes

    It shows you exactly how to launch a page
    in no time, but it shows you how to add an
    opt in form to it. There are different ways
    can go about this. You can start a website
    with an optin page being your landing, or
    you can launch a stand alone lead capture page.

        That method involves plugging the AWeber/Getresponse
        opt in form HTML code into the lead capture page. This
        method relates to those that find Wordpress complex.

        I use both "stand alone" lead capture pages (hosted
        elsewhere) and those via Wordpress. The method illustrated
        is geared toward the new IM.

    You have many good suggestions already listed (LeadPages, Optimize Press, HTML). You have so many options to choose from. Most of these are point and click with no technical background necessary.

    There are also a few free Landing page templates in the War Room.

    Never apologize for asking your questions. Most are here to help if we can. Capture pages come in a thousand varieties. One thing is for certain, you want to stand out from the rest whenever possible. I use a system (as most of do use some type of system) that creates personally branded CP's with my video embedded and not a replicated company site.
    Once someone opts into mine, they are emailed a private access code to the email address they just entered, in order to get to the value (next page). This prevents folks from entering in bogus email addresses just to see what you're offering.

    Landing pages are simple and easy to do once you have them figured out. The trick to a high converting landing page is to keep things simple, you don't want to be too distracting and ask for too much information on your opt in form. Be unique and original and think out of the box. It's good to measure conversions as well.

    I'd reduce as many of the unneccessary steps as possible so as to focus on the business.

    Doing a quick search I found these guys out Landing page templates | Landing Pages: Build, Publish & Test Without I.T. as it looks like its pretty much set and forget. Comes with a 30 days free trial so no upfront costs either. The less you have to fiddle around with html copy/pasting, etc the better.

    Do you mean squeeze pages?

    You can google "free squeeze page templates", and download some.

    Then get the free HTML editor named "Nvu", and edit the squeeze page templates you downloaded, now you can create your own squeeze pages.

    Hi Heather,

    There are many plugins or website themes that you can buy to create landing pages, however, creating landing pages isn't for anyone. I usually outsource my work and use Wordpress for everything. If you need more info on how to create an appealing landing page/squeeze page just hit me up!

    Or...Google "Squeeze Page Software" or "Landing Page Software". You will find several options with different functions.
