New Domain And Hosting Question?

I've heard about adding a new hosting account to your domain to help in the searches and google. Why is this? I have hosting and have been using the same nameservers on all my domains. Is there a specific reason I should maybe add a new hosting account to a domain if I want to go after SEO?

Any feedback and insight is much appreciated. Thanks again!

    I believe you're referring to building a private blog network - in which case - the theory is to have different hosts/nameservers/IPs pointing to your sites to increase your blog's "power" so you can rank higher in the SEO game.

      I'm using hostgator with a baby plan. If you know about them do I do this by creating a new account with a new email and then change the ips Somehow I believe you can do it through your cpanel? I'll go search in youtube!
