Dream Stealers and What To Do About Them...

Hi guys,

It can be difficult to remain positive in the face of life's events
sometimes. The fact is though, that being positive is your single biggest
weapon if you want success from life and mixing with positive, vibrant
people and refusing to dwell on negative thoughts or discuss negative things
will be a huge weapon in your armoury.

I was talking to Matt Bacack (a marketer I really like and a genuine nice
guy) at an event I spoke at and we were approached by a guy who came up and
just butted in to our conversation, without introducing himself or anything.

That in itself was not a problem (although a little rude) because like
myself, Matt never minds talking to people and offering advice etc. However,
this guy then proceeded to talk in a really negative way about everything.

The upshot was that Matt quickly found a way to leave the conversation and
to move away. It did leave me stuck with this guy as I didn't want to appear
rude.

The point of telling you all this is that when Matt and I caught up with
each other later, Matt said to me, "Sorry about that Roy, but I have made it
a rule never to mix with negative people. It drains your life-force and
enthusiasm."

- Not surprisingly, I have found that many of the successful people I have
met all have the same rule. They eliminate the negative from their lives and
when a negative thought enters their head they recognise it and refuse to
let it stay there. Instead, they think about and concentrate on positive
ideas and thoughts and mix only with like-minded positive people.

Negativity is catching and will drag you down faster than anything if you
let it. The good thing is that positivity and enthusiasm is also catching. I
know which I prefer to have in my life.

There will always be negative people and negative thoughts. I have a name
for both of these. I call them 'dream stealers'.

NEVER let anyone or anything steal your dream!

Negative people will tell you that you are wasting your time following your
dream. They do this because deep down they really don't want you to succeed,
because if you do then they may just have to look at their own life and what
they have done with it.

Here's what one little guy did about the 'dream stealers'.....

What he did first...

What he did a little later....

Have a great day!

This rule is the essence for all of us interested in reaching our success. We need to set up goals, make a plan and massive actions according to it, then we may expect results. But all these aren't lead to success if we don't change our mind and soul towards positivity, too.

It is good for us if we are able to make difference between them and apply the latter one. To beeing positive we need to make a strong decision and stick ourselves to it to the very last.

Your dream is the motivation in all of your activity. Without motivation we don't take actions. We need to know WHY we want to reach something. Without motivation we don't start. After our starting the custom is -- making necessary steps even we like it even not, time to time -- that will carry us to the dreamed position.

Sadly but it's true. I always experienced some reactions from people in all my life. But this is their choice. It is easier to say that they haven't any chance than grab that chance when it is occured and work hard to accomlish their goals. There is no excuse for us not to follow our dreams.

I prefer Matt's 'rule' and follow it myself too.

    Have a nice day,

    Sandor

Usually I'm the guy who hardly ever needs a little boost when it comes to staying on top... in a positive mind set. I've had some events the last few days that really rocked me and I got a little depressed. For the most part, being sick didn't help matters, but to hear the words again and see the video was actually a good boost for me!

I definitely agree with you regarding staying positive. I absolutely cringe when I am around negative people. I can't stand it.

I was unfortunately married to a negative person, and when I finally divorced him, my life turned around for the better. He would tell me that I couldn't do this, and I couldn't do that...well after the divorce, I did what I wanted (started my own business), and now I'm happier than ever not having to deal with him and his negativity.

Glad things have worked out better for you Lanadili. Sometimes eliminating the negative people from our lives can be painful, but you are only here once and living a positive life usually means living a happy life too.

Absolutly life is not a dress rehearsal :-) I could not agree more with WritingMadWoman I think it might be due to the energies surrounding you. love the vids by the way. Also for the same reason I find Susan Boyle so inspiring (never give up your dream no matter what happens to you in life or no matter your age).
Yes it's very warm and very sunny here in the UK.

    cheers all.

Hey that's one great thing about the Warrior forum overall - a lot of people are here to help each other instead of saying "you can't do that." We understand each other's mentality somewhat...right?
