Building 2 email lists! Why wouldn't you?

Hey Warriors,

Just curious: Have you guys thought or have you created 2 email lists? One to do all your click banking, solo swaps, affiliate marketing, and selling solo ads from which in turn will lower your response rate after so long. And one where you just work to build relationships with your list and sell your own products which will have a higher response rate and you build it from solo ads and PPC?

What are your thoughts?

    There is not a fixed principle in this case, you can do what you like. I have built different lists for different niche, and for solo ads order I get, I send the offers to the suitable list that I also use for my own offers.
    And the response rate falls when you send too many offers repeatedly to the same list on short gaps.

    Separating your lists is very important to get the right reaction from what you're building them for.

    An obvious example is separating your prospects from your buyers. You should be treating your buyers like gold and worrying about building a solid long term relationship with them more than anyone else.

    Prospects can be used in a bunch of different ways and come from a lot of different places. For example, if you're building your list with ad swaps, those prospects are more used to seeing ad swap promotions and will more often react okay towards another ad swap. A list built from SEO on the other hand may not react as well or like that as much.

    So, yes separating your lists is a good plan. This is also important for those micro niches in your market. I build a lot of lists in the IM niche... but they are broken down into Facebook, SEO, List Building, etc. Sometimes the email content will overlap and I can send stuff to all my lists, but many times I will tweak each email's content to fit the list I'm sending to. This is why I get great open, click thru, and purchase rates though.

    I have very segmented lists through my different niches. It is very important in the relationship building portion to treat each list differently.

    The non-buyers need an extra push or so, the buyers are treated like gold.

    And make sure to build lists in different AR's so that people don't get the option to unsubscribe from all your lists at once.

    I have 2 lists, one for solo ads and one for my Facebook campaign. Both with the same follow up series and selling the same affiliate products. Testing which converts better

    Yeah i got multiple lists that i segment. Helps me to track everything. No fancy HTML or javascript coding at all.
