how to increase my Opt in rate?

Hello fellow warriors,
Lately, I've decided to help my article marketing efforts with some PPC in order to build my list faster.
Problem is, only about 8% of my optin page visitors actually subscribe.
now I know its a very very low conversion rate but I don't know what to do to improve it.

Any suggestions will be really appreciated

thanks,
MM

PS:
opt in page address is in my sig

A image of your free report should increase the rate:

Someone at this forum should be able to create one for you for under $15.

    Hope This Helps!!

You need to draw more attention to the subscription box. Ideally you want people landing on a page with the sole purpose of getting them to subscribe. If there's other stuff to do, people will do it. If you explain what they get and tell them to sign up to get it (without distractions) you'll get a *much* higher conversion rate.

I'd share my most recent example but I'm actively promoting it so it'll look spammy. If you'd like to take a look at what I mean feel free to PM me.

Your ladies up there seem to be floating in white space - it's
a little weird. Get a picture of your report - and pump up
your bullets ie "The dirty secret personal trainers don't want you
to know about how to have a firm butt!"

Structure them all this way as teasers.

If the sole purpose of the page is for opt-ins, then I would move the opt-in form up so it's at least above the fold. You should be able to see the opt-in with out having to scroll down.

Add a video. doesn't need to be you or your voice, just some sort of infomercial will help you.

Add the optin-box in the right side above the fold and put some kind of border around it to draw attention to it.

Instead of Free Instant Access use something like "Start loosing weight now ! "

Make your headline specific instead of broad, like " Loose x pounds in x days", this is a very big factor that alot of people overlook.
    Don't go broad, go deep.

    Nice improvement!

Quick suggestion...Always be split testing your opt in page. Have 2 identical opt-in pages with only 1 variable different (wording of headline, placement of video, etc.).

Always be testing and go with the better converting page.

Then, test the winner against another page and so on!

Over time, you will see your conversion rate get better and better.

    Try it out!

that's what I'm doing right now,
by the way, what is the highest opt in rate i should expect? (after a long long testing session of course)

Try and get your opt-in form above the fold. A lot of people won't bother scrolling down to find it.

The best advice I can give you is to use a split testing script (such as Google Website Optimizer) and test different variations of your page until you achieve your desired opt-in rate.

8% is a start, but you really want to be aiming for AT LEAST 30% opt-in rate.

Small changes can make big differences.
