Can you make a large income from selling multiple "low priced" products?

Most IM seem to have products that range from $27 up into the thousands of dollars. Has anyone here had success (and by success I mean making a full time living doing internet marketing) from simply selling a lot of lower priced products ($7 or less)?

Certainly, it can be done. But the odds are against you making a living income. There really is no reason not to include some higher priced products to your selling system.

Many IMers will tell you it takes the same amount of effort to sell low priced goods as it does to sell high priced items. Most start their selling system with a low cost item to get a buyer on their list, then they add back end products related to the first sale in order to produce additional sales.

You don't have to create higher priced products as you can license them, create a membership site, or even sell higher priced affiliate products.

Have you taken the time to figure out how many $7 items you've got to sell a week in order to make a full time living? Certainly, it can be done but it's a heck of a lot of work and nearly all the high earners in IM don't make their living doing it. Try it and you'll see why.

      Good luck to you,

      Steve

You can, but typically you'd want to sell subscriptions for lower prices like that so you have hundreds of $7 subs coming to you per month instead of one time purchases. People are more inclined to have a recurring payment that is less than $30. Any more than that and it isn't cost effective.

You can't jump to selling expensive products either because the more expensive products are more expensive to produce and sell...plus you have to be recognized (or your pen name has to) as an authority. No no name is gonna sell $300-$3000 products. Ever.

Also, Clickbank and other retailers won't allow higher priced products to be sold until you've established a history with them as a proven vendor...so again, it ties into the authority and credibility requirements.

Bottom line: you'll start off selling lower priced products as a vendor and move on to more expensive products as your brand builds more authority and history in the market. Lower priced products work well though for recurring charges and subscriptions. 1000 $7 subs from die hard fans will add a pretty chunk of money to your bottom line.

LOL kid cites a fluke example. That's like pointing at Justina Bieber or Drake when a kid asks if he can make big money producing his own music. That's the exception...not the rule.

        Yep ! I do.

        It's called "Residual Income".

Low priced items that everyone uses and keep paying for
and with a downline program which increases your income
month after month. Residual Income is the way to go.

Best wishes to ALL for the Holiday Season.

Depends on your definition of "large income". But yes, many people making a good living selling lower cost items. Just need the traffic/buyers.

And of course another idea is to use a low price point on the front end and upsell them on the backend.

I agree though, recurring payments is a great way to go, even if they are lower payments.

Yes, but it's a different approach IMO. If possible you will likely need returning customers and have a product that appeals to many people

    Yes, it works for me.

There are many examples of people doing exactly that here on WF.

They have a sales funnel, and will get leads by low-priced offers, then promote high ticket offers slowly.

You have to sell a lot of low-priced offers if you want to make good income from them, but a sales funnel is different, and the high ticket offers may make big money from not many customer.

    "Large" is basically semantics right?

    Nevertheless, here's my opinion.

Low ticket items are great. But why not consider having an entire funnel integrated with complementary products at a higher ticket price?

The more value you can provide to your subscribers and customers, the more valuable they become.

The purpose of a funnel? To provide as much value to your customer as quickly as possible.

Another thing: The value of funnels and necessity of funnels, is more important if you BUY traffic.

    Just my $.02

    :]

PS: You can be creative with your upsells by the way.

Who says your higher ticket offers have to be yours?

    Food for thought.
