You can try something simple like posting amazon products on ebay and sell it for $10-$20 more.
Choose products that costs more than $35 so you get free shipping.
Copy and paste it on ebay and then once you sell it you can buy and send it to that person.
I been doing this for few weeks and from 30 products i made 12 sales last week.,
It takes you few minutes to do it.

    Sorry to hear this.

But think about this…even if you do manage to drive traffic to your site and you do get sales, how much are you getting from a sale?

    5 – 7% - is it really worth it?

I mean you are going to put in a lot of effort to your site and the end result is a measly few bucks? Is it really worth it?

Sure. Some people will tell you that you can sell high ticket products and in this way you will make a lot of money. Think about it – how many people are going to be interested in buying these high priced products.

Now many people will argue about this too and say that there are many people who buy such high ticket products.

It is left to you to think and use your own judgment.

    All the best. Regards.

Use your own judgement by looking at those making over 10k a month with Amazon.

Click on the drop down button after you have searched for a product in the Amazon Associates Section section of the website. Should look like this screenshot below.

Good Luck (may the odds be forever in your favour)

The key to making money as an Amazon Affiliate is to pick the right, more expensive products. Many people are creating Amazon Review sites or blogs and promoting the products there. What is important is that you will earn a comission even if people buy a different product (not the one you're promoting) when using your affiliate link. The percentage of your earnings goes up when you promote more products.
    Good luck

Try to promote off the wall novelty items and you should do better than average. Please remember that people only want to have a unique experience. Add items that are unusual and you should get a higher percent conversion. Hey, after all, this is the xmas season.

Amazon works if you pick the right product, niche and put the product in front of the right people.

Generally, I prefer to deal with products higher than $150 and only go low if the product has a tremendous amount of daily traffic and easily dominated too.

Amazon works more than any other affiliate program I have promoted due to the strong brand.

It would be hectic going by the route "Horacioplus" recommended.

    - Astore
    - Product review site are my best bet.

Just get traffic from Google, YouTube and social media and it will be fun all the way.

Sorry to hear that, but that's really bad conversion rate

This is mine for this month so far - 2013-12-17_1405 - larryboy03's library

The reason mine is converting well straight from my website is because all my traffic is coming from buying keywords.

You need to work on driving more targeted and buying traffic from the search engines.

I'll be building my list for this niche site soon, so I expect conversions to increase hopefully.

I don't even think 12% is good, Iv heard people getting much higher conversion rates.

            Do keyword research.

When I review products, I always check how many times the product is being searched, I then check how many times it's being searched with "review" on the end.

When people put "product" then "review", there already looking for that specific product and they may already be looking to buy it.

Target keywords like that with "low competition" to get your review ranking high on page 1, this is how I'm doing it.

            Hope it helps

Yes, but your need to do some research and find a niche which is not yet saturated.

You will always have competition but being able to find that niche with such low competition is the main breaking point of a successful or unsuccessful website.

That is the way I see it. If you have extremely "low competition" and if it's a popular niche, you can drive almost as much organic traffic as you want.

How do you know that it's bad? You'r extrapolating that from a 120 click sample? And that's without even knowing:

          1. What's the average price of items sold by him.
          2. How he's driving traffic to the site.

Conversion rate in and by itself, without any context, means less than nothing, and it's even a dangerous value to use in discussions as it sets wrong expectations most of the time. I will gladly take my ~4% conversion rate over most Amazon Affiliates 10%+ conversion rate.

Here's just one (out of hundreds) example scenario to illustrate what I mean:

Suppose you have a site that targets very specific buying keywords. You get 100 unique visitors a day and have a whopping 20% conversion rate. Let's assume, for simplicity's sake, that each sale nets you exactly $10 in revenues. 20% conversion rate means 20 sales, which gives us $200. You now go and brag to your friends about your awesome conversion rate.

A month or two later, you post a few really good articles that attract a ton of extra traffic and attention to your website. A while later you find yourself getting 1000 unique visitors a day instead of 100 (so a 900 increase). However, most of that extra 900 is not targeted traffic, because they come to your site as a result of natural growth, not intentional targeting of specific keywords or whatever. (And if your site is good, such natural growth will almost ALWAYS happen.) Suddenly our conversion rate drops to 5%, because you no longer have that much targeted traffic so you cry yourself to sleep.

But wait a minute... 5% out of 1000 is 50 sales, which translates to $500 in revenues (assuming $10 per sale), compared to the $200 you made when your conversion rate was 20%! Holy crap, is that possible? Can conversion rate be a useless metric unless considered in the context of our website's other metrics and goals/strategies?

Social media won't generally work well for your average Amazon affiliate review site, unless you build your site with the intention of making it very "sociable" and share'able, AND/OR unless you choose a specific niche that naturally gets a lot of attention from Facebook members.

Affiliate links are allowed on lots of public sites like youtube, squidoo, hubpages etc, but be prepared to put in a LOT of work to promote for very little commission! I successfully promote Amazon products, but I focus on first selling REAL products. From there, it's much easier to promote similar products because you're already driving traffic very easily (Ebay is great for this). If you create your own product (private label) you can create a brand around it, build a list and include affiliate links on your own site (yes, this does require a website, but it's more sustainable and less work in the long run) I wish you the best with your endeavors!

I got my first order today at 16.67% conversion .

As with Daniel J, Amazon conversions are not a priority for me (just a bit of fun) but it's interesting going forward.

Incidentally the product sold was a fairly high ticket item which has nothing to do with the links, or main products, on my site.

    Good luck all.

    Hey there Pils,

being an amazon affiliate is tricky.

You have to make sure you get traffic to the right offer.

But the great thing about amazon is that they track cookies for about 30 days (correct me if I am wrong guys!!) and that means that is for anything they buy, not just the product you show them.

So if you bring them to a product thats $10, and a week later they go and buy a $1000 tv, you get commission.

    Good times!

I would say they best way to is to start an amazon affiliate site directly, go have a look in the complete websites for sale section on Warrior Forum.

I actually made my first $$ on Amazon so I will always be fond of that kind of income generation!

    Hope that helps!

So is a review website the best way to earn money from Amazon, or are there other proven ways? If you do make a review site, how can you review expensive products thst you haven't tried?

I guess if you do make a website, you just need to find the right niche and be willing to spend loads of time on it.

Review sites work well. You don't have to buy the products you review, just tell good and bad things about them using your own expertise. Make recommendations. This way you'll come up with unique review that will also rise high in the SERPs if you pick the product wisely

Write a review or two a day for a couple of months and you'll make money for certain.

Well, yeah. I forgot to mention that this is just one way to make money with Amazon Affiliate. That is, to pick a niche with lots of products and then just write about them every day.

          Pros:
          • Lots of content = less likely to be flagged by Google as thin affiliate site
          • You'll easily rank heaps of long tails, so you don't really have to worry about competitors outranking your main keyword since every review on your site is a main keyword, so to speak
          • Very simple, you don't have to do much of keyword research or SEO. Just write and you'll see the money coming in
          Cons:
          • Takes effort every day (although can be outsourced, did that with positive ROI)
          • You can't do this in every niche cause you'll be writing often, and who would like to write about niche that he knows nothing about?
          • Not for those who don't like writing / can't follow a plan
The other way to do Amazon Affiliate is to do extensive keyword research, pick a main keyword, write some reviews and do SEO. However I've never done that since SEO and keyword research give me headache I'm just a simple guy who likes to write every day about the niche he knows. If you're like that, going the "write-every-day" route might be good choice for you, too.

But many do Amazon Affiliate with keyword research + SEO route with great success. It just wasn't never my cup of tea. So pick your poison. Both can work extremely well when you have plan and focus.

Btw I learned a lot from wolfmmiii (his username here in WF). Check out his posts also, he's solid.

Be aware that pinterest seems to take out affiliate ID from amazon links now.

so you'd need to link to a blog page etc that then contains that link

If you are only showing your visitors Amazon products, then yes... 4-8% isn't worth the time or effort.

If you are building a business, things are different.

A client comes to you and asks for information on how to build a bridge. You suggest a Clickbank book that teaches Bridge Building. A few days later the client is returning saying he doesn't have the tools to build the bridges in the book you sold... What ever shall we do?!?

Send them to Amazon to pick up a few durable, yet affordable, tools to build his bridge!

Just because you don't make a large amount of money, doesn't mean you can't make your customer happy. If Amazon has something that can benefit your clients, you may as well get that BONUS 4 - 8%. They're going to keep coming back for more as long as you give them the information they want.

I beg to differ. Here are my earnings from this month so far based on that low "4-8% that isn't worth the time or effort": View image: asd (the numbers are of course higher than usual this month due to extra gifts people are buying for the holidays, but still the difference isn't huge)

This is from 4 websites, each between 50-100 posts. No list building.

I think people who say that Amazon isn't worth the effort simply don't have enough experience with the platform and underestimate the insane trust that Amazon carries with their visitors. For every 1 clickbank product that I sell with a 50% commission, I will sell 10 products on Amazon without even trying (by just sending the visitor to amazon and letting them do the rest).

EDIT: guys, please don't PM me with questions. There's nothing that I will share with anyone via PM that I am not willing to share publicly. So if you have questions, please ask them here.

            today at least not bad..

            I don't mind the item buyer buy...at least there is 2 sales...with 40 clicks.

I'm just curious about the payment...

I choose min ....send cheque ...100

yes some mention why don't apply an online account etc..direct despot..but is too troublesome..in fact I chat with their live support..

they encourage me better choose cheque option..

            since I live outside US.

so the question now is about the payment....

I check their payment it take quite sometimes...about 60 days...

now I choose min payout is 100 ..

and I just know is end of the month they than send out the cheque?

so I curious..those choose the cheque option..

how much you set ...100 or ???

It takes 60 days for them to send a check, counting from the end of the month where you reached the minimum threshold. So if you have $100 as your minimum (you can't go lower than that), and you earn $100 or more this month (December), they will send you the check around the 30th of February 2014. The check will take anywhere from a week to a few weeks to reach you (I hear that residents of Asian countries usually wait around 2-3 weeks, but not sure). And then you have to deposit the check in your bank and wait for it to clear, which could take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months if you are outside the US.

So if you make $100 or more in December, you can expect to have the money physically available for you to spend anywhere between early April 2014 (optimistically) and June 2014 (pessimistically).

You can't get direct deposits because you do not live in the US by the way - only checks are available to you. Some people use Payoneer to solve this issue, but I hate their fees and I think their customer support is bad so I personally don't trust them with my money and go with checks.

                oh thanks....

so it is wise I put higher min range? since it take so long to get the payment..

what I mean now I just put the min 100

since it take so long to take the check.
must well I put a bit higher....before they send out the cheque since still have time to do some rush promotion ...

curious you all usually state how much?

The posts are as many words as they need to be. As far as reviews go, the shortest are 800 words, the longest about 2000. I do not build links per se, just contact other webmasters in my niches and ask for links. This gets me 2 or 3 decent links, which is usually enough to start showing up at the top if you choose your niche properly. Once that happens and once I'm exposed to readers, I begin getting links naturally. So the link building I do is extremely minimal. My time goes into market research and making sure my site is the best out there on the subject.

Do you provide guest posts to the webmasters to get the links?

How many keywords do you target per post?

No, I don't provide guest posts. But I have methods for getting the webmasters to like me / trust me and only then do I request the links, which increases my chances of getting them. I won't share the method though - anyone can come up with their own if they give it some though and put in the work.

As far as keywords, it totally depends on the niche. Sometimes it's only possible to target 1 or 2 keywords. Other times there are so many questions people are asking online about this product that I can target 20-30 keywords per article. And by "target" I simply mean that I write about it in that article and include an appropriate <h2> tag -- I don't do link building with keywords in mind.

EDIT: the sites I make are of way higher quality than your average niche affiliate site, so I am far more likely to find webmasters who will happily link to it. So what I'm saying is the only way my approach works is if you make rock solid sites - the type that gets you 3-4 emails a day from readers THANKING you for having created such an awesome site. Otherwise, you'll need much more manual link building because people will be unlikely to naturally link to you.

I can see that some members are talking against Amazon, while I would say, Amazon is a great program for sellers and affiliates.

The commissions are from 4% to 8.5% but it does not stops here.

Once you have visitors on your website and if any of them are referred through your site to Amazon, then no matter how many products they buy, you earn a commission on all of these.

Here are benefits of Amazon, compared to some other companies:

                    1. If a member visits Amazon through your referral link, if he / she makes a purchase within 24 hours, you earn a commission.

                    2. If a member has add a product to their cart, and is referred by your site to Amazon, if that person buys that item from the cart within next 89 days, you make a commission.

                    3. If a member visitor is referred to Amazon from your website, and buys any number of items, you earn a commission.

Now lets talk about Payoneer, as some members are talking negatively about it too. I would say that Payoneer is doing a great job, because:

First thing it sends you a master card at your doorstep. Then it gives you a freedom to buy anything from online stores, without using your bank account, because you use the master card directly. They take care of your account and give you full time support. So, if they cost some money for this, then is it bad? I would say, at least you are having more resources and freedom by using Payoneer, do not look at the fee, look how many benefits we have by using Payoneer.

                    Stay Positive and Cool.

                    Thanks

most of the public websites don't allow, the best thing is to start your own site and have amazon banners and products there
Then promote your website through social media and other platforms

4% of a sale is never worth it. EVER.

Go Clickbank - or your own product.
