Give away items to get an email address...where do you get your gifts from?

Ok so if I set up an email capture page, offering something great...maybe access to some free video tutorials or an ebook to entice people to add their email address.

If you do not create your own product to do this, where do you get your gifts from? I have noticed on a lot of the plr sites, one of the things that is often not allowed is to give them away on your site, sell them yes but not give them away.

Would anyone care to share where they get their info products from, either free or paid?

Kind regards

A.

I think if you look closer most PLR is allowed to be given away. What you cannot do is give the resell rights away.

There are many sources of free give away reports, but honestly, you would be better deciding that you are indeed a product creator and getting it done.

Hi Ken thanks for the reply.

I have been trying over the past couple of years, staying faithful with the method I initially tried which was setting up a website/wordpress blog, using market samurai to find related keywords that didn't have a great amount of competition and ranking for these. Then adding amazon related products on them. But I found that the effort/return ration was just far far too small, sort of burnt me out to be honest. But trying to remain faithful and just looking for one solid method to focus on.

I say the past couple of years...when I first discovered IM I was far too overwhelmed with the technical knowledge needed so returned to school to get formal training so IM sort of went on the back burner. Now looking to start afresh with a tactic and think list-building is where it is at, and what I should be concentrating on.

      Any thoughts ?

        Hi A

My Experience with Amazon has been exactly the same as yours. This is the first Christmas when I will notice my Amazon earnings as being of any substantial value. They have been negligible up to 2012.

List building is good as long as you have a game plan. Otherwise what are your visitors signing up for? You need to be credible and able in a specific market or niche to make a list. Otherwise you will run out of things to say and have no reason to build the list in the first place.

You are actually asking quite big questions here. Hard to answer adequately in a forum. After 6/7 years, I now know what I do and how I do it. It is quite different to anyone else and I like it that way. You need to find your way to stand out. Then you will have a voice that people will listen to.

It all depends on what you're looking for... what type of PLR content and for which niche.

A lot of PLR Content providers focus on certain types of PLR content and on certain niches.

For example, if you just want PLR content as a basic structure to help you create your own product, then you may be fine with PLR articles.

There's a lot of PLR content providers that sell PLR articles. There are even PLR content providers that sell content outlines & niche research. So finding PLR content will be easy.

But, if you only intend to do minor changes, then you're most likely looking for a PLR product that's already complete and that may even include sales material as part of their package.

In this case, you'd start looking at PLR content providers that create business-in-a-box type PLR packages.

So, it all depends on what you're looking for.

I wouldn't give away PLR unless you were telling them it's PLR, so you would buy a MRR package and say get 10,000 PLR Articles for free...

You could find that by doing a search on Google I'm really not sure the best source for MRR stuff although I'm sure with a bit of research you could find some great sources in the forum.

If you do a search on this forum you could get some rebrandable ebooks in some threads such as this one http://www.warriorforum.com/make-mon...-1-google.html

You can rebrand this book and offer it to your list.

I'm going to get TONS of hatemail for this, when I pay for traffic I don't offer any free giveaways.

I do GIVE them free stuff... But I do NOT promote it.

    Why?

Well, I want to strategically attract people that actually want to buy what I have to offer.

The free gifts I give are something that they all NEED, but not necessarily something that they WANT.

So... I give them what they need... And offer something that they want.

But when I buy traffic? I never, EVER use the word "free" or indicate any type of free gift.

    :]

It just so happens, that I strategically align that "want" with an immediate sales letter.

    Just my $.02.

    It's what works for me.

PS: The gifts that I do give away free... Are all from my own mind & soul.

If you want your audience to really know you? Provide content derived from your own energy.

The real question is... can provide ongoing value to your email list if you can't even create your own free giveaway?

That's not being harsh. It's a reality you MUST get to grips with.

    Hi,

What do you know, how long have you been calling yourself a newbie?

It seems that you've been around for a while but haven't really managed to get
your feet wet as of yet.

You must know something that you can give away that is of real value.

You could look at certain tools you could give away if you are struggling
to find any information of real value.

Sit down and write everything you know that you've found useful to you
    in the past.

I can bet you that you can come up with enough to create either a video or a
    high quality report around.

Get doing and kill the over thinking.

ACTION is 1000 times more powerful than thinking alone and doing
    nothing.

    And remember...

    ...PERFECTION = POVERTY!

Don't over think this, just get something out there or else you'll never
    be able to move forward.

    All the best
    Gavin

I second that! Just get the content out there, you can always tweak it out later on once you find out what's working for you.

Instead of using Plr's why don't you just create your own gift to give away just do some research on your own niche and create your own free report or audio and give away for free!

I usually create a short course which is often video and my email follow ups are directly related to it. Someone on an earlier post mentioned having a game plan and I completely agree with that.

When you give something for free be sure that it is a sample of your actual product or services that you are offering so that people can understand about the quality of your paid product or services. Otherwise getting email lead does not mean anything to me. I personally do not take any email lead from my websites.... But I am doing fine with my business.

By the way... there are always some people who only seek for free products.... But the real buyers will check the free one and will get back to you again and again.

I created a small report of something that worked for me online. You learn a lot of stuff from this forum put some of it into action and when you see some results create a product on the method you used to get those results.

If your new use you can use plr products, but I recommend getting some high quality plr. This forum sales really good ones

NOTE: When someone subscribes to get your offer make sure you have something to sell on your thank you page. I have learned that this will be the only time 100% of your subscribers will see your offer.

In terms of creating a gift to give away a lot of the PLR products you talk about will be happy for you to rebrand them as your own unique product if you can't give them away as they are already.

This might be a rewrite of a couple of articles / ebook, or perhaps adding to it to make it even better than it was. Make sure it is of great quality though.

You can also easily and quickly get a new cover if you head over to Fiverr and so within a couple of days you have your own product and not upsetting anyone.

    Good luck with it!

What you give away doesn't need to be big, just quality researched information. And you can totally drill down within a niche to find this.

I recently watched a sales video from Leadpages where they explained that giving more value does not necessarily lead to a higher conversion rate. Indeed their most effective "opt in bribe" is a one page report giving "5 tools"...for .....

Peoples' time is valuable. As a consumer would you rather plough through 20 free videos, a 100 page pdf, or a 1 page report, if the end result was the same?

I suggest take the next step and have your own original gift.

      Kind regards
      Alison

If I were to build a list via giving free stuff, that "FREE STUFF" has to be of value to your subscribers, and I dont think PLR is of any value unless you have found a high quality PLR. So I guess the most important thing is to bring value to subscribers.
