How do I "thank" someone in a thread?

I'm new so I hope this is the correct place to post this question.

I looked in the faq's and couldn't find anything.

I'm sure it's real easy i just can't figure it out.

I want to thank some people for posting relevant, quality posts
and I don't know how.

Any help will be appreciated.

Tony

    Hi anthony,

At the bottim of this post, in the right hand corner, you'll see a button on the right saying thanks. Just click it and it'll show up under their post that you've thanked them.

Feel free to try it out on this post :-)

There's a button in the lower right of each post.

I think you're right because now the button is showing and I only had a coulple of posts before.

I knew it was something simple.

Thanks for helping me not look like a complete idiot on this forum.

You MUST have at least 5 posts to give thanks.

I recently set up a new account to verify that 5 posts are needed.

Also remember that at the top of the thread on the right is a way to rate a thread. The advantage of rating a thread is that stars appear on the main listing page so people can see if a thread is worth reading or not without having to open it.

Unfortunately not many people rate threads.

Ah, the investigative nature of the human mind -- thanks for trying this.

I was searching for the same function at the beginning. Took me a while to figure it out, too...

Funny, how those first five posts now seem to be so many ages ago that I hadn't even been able to remember if it was 5 posts or another number...
