What is a good business structure for doing affiliate programs without using your ssn attached to it

Hello,

I've recently got involved in writing articles and using affiliate programs to market things I personally use. However, before I launch, I want to know how one should go about setting up a business structure because some programs mention "you" as an independent contractor. For personal reasons, I do not want anyone money generated from my site to be tied to my ssn. Any recommendations or personal experiences with this would be greatly appreciate.

      Hi,

Way oversimplification, the spectrum from which I am usually at the other end of, but that is essentially a good direction.

I just made a long WF post about this topic in this thread.

      YMMV of course.

The simple answer is, if you want to earn money, your going to have to pay taxes.

You can apply for a EIN, I believe it is referred to as. That number will be tied to your SS numner. Ig you are going to earn money, you are required to pay taxes on it. There is no working under the table with these companies. They are all legit, and expect you to be also.

So forget about scamming uncle Sam on his due. Pay up.
