Hi Warriors,
I have lately been looking for the best Flippa alternative where I can sell a content site that is very potential. Do you know of any Flippa alternatives ..of course free options ?

I don't think so. How else would the site make money? I would suggest scrounging up the $29 or whatever it costs to list a site. if you're confident enough in your site, then you'll make that back PLUS a nice return. So in the end it should be well worth it.

Sell it yourself directly to an end user.

Does your site rank on the 1st page of Google or Bing even for its main keyword?

Are there currently adwords advertisers on the first and second page of Google or Bing for your main keyword phrase?

If yes to both questions then create a list of those advertisers and use domaintools.com
to find out the contact number for each business.

Send an email to each contact informing them your website is currently up for sale, state your website statistic with your offer price.

If the site is in a viable market, you should not have a problem selling it.

If you'd like me to take a look at your site and offer helpful pointers, feel free to pm me.

I've sold 2 websites and 3 domain names this year directly by reaching out to business owners without flippa. I personally would not pay the fee without trying to sell my web properties myself first.

There is a section on Digitalpoint forum where you can sell sites and I don't believe there's any fee to sell there.

However I think you may need to have a certain number of posts racked up before you're allowed to sell in the marketplace - you'd have to check out their rules.

Also you won't get the same price on a marketplace like Digitalpoint as you would on Flippa. That place is a market full of freebie seekers. You could get lucky there though I suppose.

Flippa charges too much, check sedo, it's a good marketplace where you can get competitive and good prices for buying and selling domains.

You could chance your arm on free classified sites like Craigslist or Gumtree. Flippa will however have the most concentrated group of targeted buyers.

Are there any alternatives to Flippa?

    Of course there are!

Here...let me Google that for you.

Many, in an effort to compete with Flippa, do offer free listing services. Unfortunately, (and because it's free) SO many people have uploaded junk for sale that those sites have virtually no buyers.

If you're site is earning and/or you're sure it has value, why don't you just borrow the money for the listing and pay it back when the site's sold?
