When I sell a website on flippa (or any where), do I still have to pay for hosting?

does anyone know if I still have to pay the monthly hosting fee When I sell a website on flippa (or any where)? Or when I transfer the domain to the buyer do they pay for it?

    No. Typically what is done - you provide them all of your site files in a zip file to upload to their server, OR you offer to do a site transfer to their hosting account.

    As for the domain - if you have your domain with GoDaddy or Namecheap for example, they allow the creation of free accounts, so you'll simply be "pushing" the domain from your account to their existing account or new account. Costs nothing to do that.

    Some people offer hosting the site for the buyer as a bonus, but it is not required.

    Take a look at some Flippa listings and see how they describe what they will do. Some do very little and others offer to do more as a bonus.

    Typically, the buyer will have his/her own hosting setup and you can transfer the site to them and get them to host.

    In practice, some of the buyers we've dealt with are brand new and don't know anything about hosting, transferring sites, etc.

    Hi, You don't have to pay the hosting fee anymore if you tranfer the site to your buyer's host but if you want o keep your hosting account with your hosting provider then you have to pay the hosting fee every month.Thanks
