Mailing list question

Hello,
Do you know any mailing list software that allow sign up by mail (free mail)

I mean if user send an empty email to ****@gmail.com, this user will be added automatically to mailing list , I see this option in getreponse for eample but the mail must be ****@getrespose.com and i want to use free mail

    Far as I know, most autoresponder services offer that feature. You just need to find the sign up email address for your list and use that.

    Of course if your using double opt-in, people will still have to confirm, it's not going to get around that.

      yea but they set a specific email address like listname@getresponse.com

      and i'm looking for a software or service that allow using free email like @gmail.com

        I am confused. If your paying for the service of an autoresponder, why do you want to have your stuff go through a free email service? Also, the fact that you should have better delivery rate using the autoresponder service compared to a free email service. And running things through a free email account, it's more likely to get banned, or you lose the account. And all your work is gone. Just thinking.

        Unless you want free all the way around. Think mail chimp has limited free accounts. Though free is not always the best route to go. Just my opinion.

        Or I just don't understand what your trying to accomplish.

          No i will not use free mail to send any mails

          the idea that our company is receiving thousands of email on a (free gmail account) so we want automatically to add all this contact to our mailing list

          so is there any auto responder that allow this?
          getresponse allow this but we have to recieve mail on ***@getresponse.com and ofcourse it is not logic to ask people to send on getresonse mail

    I am not sure you can do that without an autoresponder. but as said above your subscriber would just need to send a blank email to your LISTNAME@Getresponse.com or aweber or what ever autoresponder you use.

      yea but i want a service that allow using free email like gmail,hotmail,..etc

    Sorry but the whole deal sounds kind of shady.

    If it's completely legit, why ask here, why not just ask GetResponder if it's something you do with their service?
