A small clickbank success that could help you start making money

In the past 6 years I had dozens of blogs and review websites and made some decent amount but I wasn't satisfied. Last year around March I purchased a WSO from a known member. The cost of that WSO I think was $9. It was a very simple 8-page pdf. I'm not really into buying these make money online products but I gave it a shot (that WSO was discontinued). I followed everything and created 12 clickbank review sites with different products. All websites had only 1 page (landing page). (I don't have the copy of that WSO anymore so please don't PM me for a copy)

Few months had passed without doing any promotion, I seldom check my CB account. Earlier this year, I noticed some sales in just 2 sites. The first one got one sale and the second one got 2 sales. I let another month passed and each 2 sites made 1 more sales. In short, all other 10 sites were gone into oblivion.

Both sites are selling different products but with higher commission ($40 to $50) Several months ago I decided to abandon all other 10 sites and did not renew the domains. I started focusing on the remaining 2 sites. I assigned a dedicated writer and updated the content 1 article for each site per day. We started updating the sites last August and starting September, the sales for both sites have increased dramatically. Both sites are making 4 to 6 sales each a day and considering the high commission for both products, the total money made from both sites a day is around $400 to $600. I'm sorry that I can't share any of these sites but I can give you some hint about these products (about back pain and grow taller)
Both products are in health niche.

The success of this experiment I think is not only because of updated and good content of my promotional sites but also because of excellent landing pages of the product owner.

I tried running a clickbank site before with hundreds of products but I also abandoned it after a disappointing result. Now I can conclude that focusing in just one product and giving your best into it is more effective than promoting hundreds of products in one site unless you really have a good authority site (not a mere review site)

PS: Please don't flood my inbox with PM after reading this as I don't intend to promote anything through this post. I'm sorry I can't respond in any PM related to this post. If you have any question, just post below.

Just another example of how staying focused on one or two things, rather than a bunch can bring you massive success. Congrats Adie!

So when is your WSO coming out? At the least I would expect a review of what you did?

Nope, I am not the kind who post like this and make a WSO... and will never sell any moneymaking product in WSO folder. I don't have time for that. I have a number of posts like this in the past that had been suspected as promotional thread... see my previous threads...

There are many of us who would like more information, and a detailed step by step to your success. Videos of how you do it is worth much to many of us, me included. So don't say no too quickly.

I have no plan to reveal the complete step by step process whether its free or paid. I am selfish person and I think its better to stay this way (keeping my secrets for my personal benefits) than selling dreams.. And how could I sell it when I just copied it from another member who sold his WSO? I am just sharing part of it and it depends on other people who are interested to do the rest of the job.....

What themes are you using for those sites?

BTW, I would BUY your WSO too, if you had one.

I mean this is not a waay that you find, but it is a ways that some one also shared with you so that you could earn more

this or that.. Anyways, at least such an info... thanks for writing

    Hi Adie,

This makes perfect sense! Where your attention and energy goes, grows. Focus on 1 or 2 sites and you will see greater success from these 1 or 2 sites. I let go 1-2 blogs I updated daily a while back. Lo and behold, after focusing all my creative energies on 1 blog I saw up to 14,000 page visits daily and my Alexa is dropping fast, at 40K now.

Why? I focused my energy on 1 project and that project expanded much more quickly.

Thanks for sharing the success story!

    Hey Adie,

So you wrote your initial one page review and then later outsourced after seeing some initial sales. I am just wondering a few things.

    1) How did you manage to rank a 1 page site even withing the first 20 pages of google to get those initial sales?

    2) Was your domain name an EMD of product name followed by review? If not what was the method of the domain names urls?

    3) You say you now outsource, is the content you were adding once per day just general health information crap? ie; fishoil can alleviate joint stiffness in back, try to sit in a recliner to alleviate pain...this would be for your back pain like niche site

    thanks

      You deserve more? Really? Really??

In case you missed it, that other person didn't "share" with Adie, he sold a piece of info to Adie. Adie took that information and offered his experience with it. He's under no obligation to you or anyone else to hold your hand and help you press the keys.

Adie and I have butted heads in the past, but on this one, he's dead right.

It's basic business. Test various markets and products, keep the winners and drop the losers. It's how business is done from your local supermarket to the horse track. I've seen horses with expensive breeding available to the first person in the track secretary's office with a $1500 money order. Why? Because the trainer (more likely a string of trainers) found that they couldn't win with that horse and dumped it in a claiming race.

Get over the self-entitlement attitude, put your brain in gear, and make it work. Or not. Just quit whining about it.

He gave up the whole thing! Seriously - there are a bazillion "how to" videos on how to select a niche, stick up a squeeze page - review sites specifically - and that is what he did for 12 products/niches with clickbank. Geeze, he even revealed the niches!

He dumped the non-responsive ones and is building on the meatballs that are sticking to the wall.

For those of you who need more information, take the outline of what he just described, research some details, and you could very likely have a whole plan of your own put together by the end of the day- not to mention a couple of review sites slapped up.

          1. I never said I that managed to rank one page salespage. The domain is an exact keyword domain and my landing page is unique content. I can't give any reason or explanation why a single page salespage made a sale honestly. I think it's because it is informative.

          2. answered in number 1.

          3. The content being added daily is highly researched and and not even keyword stuffed. It could be from a related news, an official scientific findings from scientists and doctors, or a press release from authorities. These are my references when writing new articles for my sites.

I hope I answered your questions.

Ah thanks makes sense just wondering was the EMD domain you had of the products you were selling or what the product would solve (long tail keyword)?

Like were the sites (clickbankproduct)review.com or was it like lumbarbackpainreliefguide.com (then you push the product on them from the landing page to solve problem of domain topic)?

Also did you use backlinks or anything to try and rank those 1 pages, or did you just make and let them sit? I was just under impression unless your somewhere on the first 3 pages of google for atleast one of your keywords you will fail as no one will ever see your site unless your using other forms of advertising.

sry for questions im still new to IM

              Okay to answer you directly....

One of my domains is 3-word long domain (exact keyword). For example, the main product domain is backpaincure.com, mine is backpanincure.net (example only)

As I said in my original post, I never made a sinlge backlinking or promotion. I just created the sites and let it sit there. I did not monitor the analytics data until I updated both sites so I can't give any search data for a single page site before it was updated. But now, everything has changed because both sites are already having hundreds of pages generated from posts and tags and they are becoming more visible in search engines. I can even see other blogs syndicating my content with my affiliate links in tact...

I understand now you using tradmark domains from the clickbank. Lol everytime I think im grasping this IM and SEO stuff it throws these curveballs.

Your method seems like a bad idea, single pages, no keywords besides that of the actualy product, so someone would have to know the product name to find it.

However looking around I just found sites that are ranking number 1# spots in google using your method with tumblr and blogger free websites. Somehow there one page is managing to beat authority sites reviewing the same product.

Google confuses the shit out of me

I'm sorry I think you misunderstood my post. EMD and trademark are two different things. When did "howtoloseweight", "howtogrowhair", or "howtoburnfat" became trademark? The rest of your comments must be posted in off topic forum as it does not concern this thread. I never mentioned anything about ranking and web 2.0 sites.

For those who want to know all the details of the success of Adie, it is not the purpose of his post. He shares his experience with all of us and it is very inspiring.

However, there is essential information if you look closer. He said where he took his products and which ones have been profitable. But above all, the most important information to remember is to focus on one or two things and put all our energies on them. This is how I managed to earn over $1,000 per day and it is also how ALL those who succeed do. Others seek continually and constantly change their minds and tactics.

Thanks Adie for your post and I wish you even more success for 2014!

Thanks Adie for your post and I wish you even more success for 2014!
in fact I been doing it...give up some ..concentrate just on click bank and amazon...

amazon at least show me sales...but still some days I do have 0 sales..

whereas click bank..is tricky for me...for others maybe is not..
actually I start on click bank first...on june ..till now ..didn't clinch a sales...
      dashboard always negative till now...

Alexa here is expert on it and guide me..still ...I can't get a single sales yet..

perhaps some time luck does play a little part in IM .

This really is rock solid advice. For this reason, it is important that you choose a niche where you have some sort of interest because you have to continually produce content and focus on it.

We should all stop going after one shiny object to another, choose proven business models and focus our energies on 1 or 2 of them which we find the easiest to do. There are many people still getting tons of regular traffic to their sites through article marketing which a lot of people consider to be dead. These people don't even know much about SEO or other backlinking methods. They just focus on producing quality content in their chosen niches.

        Hey Adie,

Do you have any tips on how you wrote the reviews or if you outsourced them orginally. Im assuming you pretended that you used all of them Im finding it hard to think of how to structure the review around a digital niche clickbank product that I've never actually used.

Well, actually these sites does not contain any review article anymore since I started updating them. Most articles are "how to" and does not proactively promote the products. I had a little success with review articles. Based on my own experience, casual customers find review articles as excessive marketing hype... Part of this experiment I forgot to mention was, I ran both review and how to sites at the same time, and I found the latter more effective.

          Example article:
Title: "How to cure stomach ache at home"
I will have a banner ad for the product under the title.
I will then provide some useful steps and at the end of the article, I will have my call to action thing like "stomachache.com have complete information on how to cure stomach ache at home"... or "click here and say goodbye to your stomach ache"...

          ....something like that....

Thanks Adie that makes sense. You had all or some review sites then once you noticed the keywords/niche were profitable you scaled the sites into more of an authority type. Now you rely on quality content, trust and little remarks here and there for the products you're affiliating. Right?

I am just wondering, do you have a review page on the products at all anymore. Or is it all just in body banners and hyperlinks like you said? Also i've chosen a similar topic in the health niche as you have, with most of your sites, do you imply to the readers that you had/have the issue or are just a third party observer of what works? I feel personal experience or atleast impyling that you were a sufferer of "problem x" before you came across "product y" would probably sell better.

My bad on all the questions

There are still 2 review articles remaining (1 for each site) and these are the very first article I created. No, I never told anyone that I am a sufferer for such illness. There are other ways to do a review without mentioning yourself. I have the product so I can certainly tell everything about it.

I have had similar success to Adie, using very similar methods. I put up a couple of domains with the title focused on a problem and a couple clickbank products dealing with the problem. This was when I was first getting into this stuff, and having had a little success with marketing my own product, I wanted to try affiliate marketing out as well.

I forgot about the sites for about six months, then got a call from my sister saying that someone had sent a check to her house for me. (I live outside the US, so had to give her address to CB.) I asked her to open it, and low and behold, I had an extra $127. So I thought hmmm... Maybe there is something to this affiliate stuff after all.

My sites weren't quite one-pagers (more like four or five), but they were definitely focused on one problem, and the reviews of the products were written in such a way as to steer customers to one of two products, depending on what their particular issue was. So you could say that the sites were focused on one product (just a different "one", depending on who you were). Also, like Adie, I tried throwing up about seven or eight other ones, none of which did much at all.

I think that if you're just starting out his approach is a very good one. If you have no idea what's going to sell, throw up a dozen or so sites, let 'em go for a couple months, and then see which ones are doing some business. Those are the ones you want to focus on. In my best month for the two sites I've been talking about here, I did about $1300. Most months it's more around $400-$500 (kind of a seasonal niche). Not great money at all, but considering I haven't really built them out much (just a few extra blog posts here and there), I'll take it. It's as close to passive income as I've been able to achieve with this IM stuff, and if I focused on them the way Adie has, I feel sure that they could do much, much more.

Adie, if you wouldn't mind answering one more question: When you put up your new article each day, do you make it a blog post or a "page" (assuming you're using WordPress)? Do you think it makes any difference one way or the other?

Thanks for all the info thus far. I for one understand exactly what you're trying to do with this thread.

      You are welcome.
I am using wordpress and always add new articles as blog posts. The reason is that, my tag pages are more visible in search engines than post pages. I believe I can't have the same success if I add articles as pages. I am using adfreestat.com (in addition to google analytics) and most of my visitors are entering to my site through tag pages.

Come on guys and gals! This is not a how to make money online or how to make money with ClickBank tutorial. It's just a post of his story.

I could sum it up that he want to say that content is king again and again it's his resourceful content. In addition, he wants to tell the old school kind of not to do many things at a time; it's a dedication.

I'd like to have my own idea of who still confused with his site. It's just niche site which has a lot content which is information rich (QUALITY CONTENT again !!!).

I also got some pretty decent results from Clickbank. I think, it is a better strategy to build an authority site in some specfic niche and then start promoting products through it. I still own a website related to Acne niche and i got some decent results by promoting clickbank products related to acne. One of the biggest mistake we do as an internet marketer is to not build a list from day 1. Without list building, we can not survive in this business. Congratulation to your journey.

    Your results are excellent.

When each site started to reach 4 to 6 sales a day, how many articles did you have on each site at that point?

When you add a new article to your site, do you always include the product keyword within the article or do you only include it on certain articles on the site?

Not necessarily the product names as the articles are not review articles. Just some informative articles (mostly how to) and related keywords are included (hyperlinked to the products.).

Awesome success! I've experienced similar results with focusing in on one thing at a time. The tighter you can focus and get really good, relevant, and constant content flowing to a site, the quicker you will know if it's going to pay off or not.

Sometimes you get the traffic but the conversions aren't there. But looks like you've found a winning combination.

What I say is, more people would be happy to gather more info, if he would share with us some more without doing it bad for his business.

I did not wanted the product name, I did not wanted to learn the niche category, I did not wanted him to write what tells in the book, I did not asked him how much he earned... I just wanted, if he could be more specific somehow, it would me a + for all of us here.

And I also said "thanks for writing" this could also not shared by him. I also appreciated what he shared. Is there no way to ask someone , it would be nice if he could share some more info?

I mean, he said focus on 1-2 niche not lots of. That is ok. But for example he would decide to also share after I ask him and would say twitter is not good but reddit would be a good choise. I think this would be also appreciated but not disturb him and also does not mean that "share the book!!!" right? Also maybe another addition: I would add articles but also add product images to the post which I create unique. That would also be a good point right?

Such things are maybe small but would be good to share. And to ask something like this would also not be a big problem right?

this is what I am talking about, not about the product taht he purchased and want it to be shared here for free... Look at the big picture...

Thanks for sharing. The point to be taken from this is focus and scale any success. There are many people here that are on the edge of freedom but do not know it and this should help them.

Many, myself included have been guilty of ignoring a small success that could have been scaled if focused on. We leave it to look for a way to make $500 a day in a few months but do not recognize that a $500 a day business is built from an initial experiment that made one $20 sale in a month.

Just organic traffic from Google. I never promoted both sites. I just put content and let Google decide...

Both sites have around 175 posts now with thousands of pages indexed due to tags. As I mentioned, my references when finding new topics are medical news and press releases from other related companies and organizations.

    Adie

I do think the post was helpful. A lot of times it is really frustrating to build a site or put a lot of effort into something and then not have it be as successful as you would like.

What I picked up from your post was that if you can just stick to it and keep trying, eventually, you can find something that might be successful. So, I think that your post was very encouraging.

    Just my two cents...

Great results. Too many people get sold of this more is better idea. Well in my experience focusing on 1 thing at a time is golden, as it may be a marketing strategy paid or free, physical, information, or CPA focus on one first and when successful move onto the next.

I see failure come from information overload and people trying to do too many things at once. I like to find one good product in any niche usually evergreen niches, and then focus one paid advertising method and one free advertising methods. I will combine PPC with article marketing or PPV with social media or vice verse.

The point is don't try to many things at once or you'll just give up, that is what I have seen and continue to see today. Keep focused and take action.

    Cheers

Even if you had a bunch of articles stuffed with keywords and got indexed by google, wouldn't you need to drive some kind of traffic to make any kind of sale?
The sites got only around 5 views a day and sometimes nothing before I made some changes. They were seen in google but not on the first 10 pages. people who are looking for something important sometimes go up to 20 pages and this is the reason why these sites were found by them and made some sales. But everything has changed after I maintained these 2 sites. They are now in first page with some keywords. Even if you are not promoting a single-page site as long as you have the right SEO plugins, it will be indexed by google and still be found by other people.

There were even times that I got 1 sale in 1 hop click from a sole visitor.. see below.

Well done my friend. You've unlocked the code! Now it's time to diversify your results and reinvest some of that money in learning how to create cash on demand with places like facebook ads and bing. Heck even google.... Awesome. Feels really good doesn't it!
