YouTube Video in post no longer shows up. Why?

Does anyone have suggestions on a solution for a YouTube video no longer showing up in a post?

I have a thread where the video is critical (a WSO), and it was working fine for days. This morning I made some minor modifications, like changing the Title and adding a few words in a sentence I had neglected to complete (hahah! I was very sleepy at the time), and the next thing I knew, the video was no longer being displayed in the post.

Tried a few different things, like deleting the code and reinserting it, copying the link directly from YouTube and pasting it, removing the link and saving, then reinserting it and saving again... but to no avail.

Any ideas what could have happened?

More importantly, any clues as to how I can correct it?

Thanks in advance!

Are you getting any kind of errors? Do you see any image at all? Does it show in your youtube channel stream?

No error messages. And the video is still on YouTube, same URL.

Instead of the video being displayed, all that shows up is a hyperlink.

      Thanks for the questions, RS.

Is by any chance your Parse Links turned off. It must be on to display a YT video.

    Parse links?

    What's that?

    Hahaha!

Well, I didn't know if it was on or off when I first posted my WSO, and it worked. And I certainly didn't turn it off when I made a few changes.

Can that kind of thing get turned off by itself?

I will look around and see if I can find it. Any clues on where to start?

    Thanks Kevin!

Go edit your post. Look at the bottom and it's there somewhere. Should be checked ON.

    YIPEE! THANK YOU, Kevin!

Here's what I found at the bottom:

    Show your signature
    Automatically parse links in text
Automatically embed media (requires automatic parsing of links in text to be on).
Automatically retrieve titles from external links

Everything was checked except for this one:

Automatically embed media (requires automatic parsing of links in text to be on).

Didn't take notice to those when I posted (it's been a looong time since I've been to the forum). And I didn't uncheck any of them. Perhaps it was just a fluke that it was working in the first place, and it corrected itself when I made the changes. Or maybe my crazy erratic cursor clicked it when I wasn't looking.

    Who knows!?

    All that matters now is...

    It's working!

    Whew!

    Thanks again, Kevin!
