So, our company is getting into infographics. Even though I think our field is pretty interesting, linear actuators, it can seem pretty darn dry. As we get more into these graphics, I know my boss will be of the mindset that these infographics should be directly related - and I mean directly - related to our services and products. So.. we're talking 'the benefits of linear actuators', 'how to purchase a linear actuator', 'what is a linear actuator', (although, that last one could be interesting).

This really seems like stuff that would be useful to people like - our competitors. And they aren't going to publish our infographics with our logo on them.

When I read an infographic, I want to come away with something I feel more valuable myself for learning. Our first one was The History of Home Automation. Linear actuators are extensively used by those in home automation, but the infographic isn't itself focused on linear actuators.

Does anyone agree with this approach? I prefer to stay on the fringes of linear actuators because the content that we can create can provide something of value to readers, something they can post on their own website and it creates awareness of our brand and promotes traffic.

Thoughts on this, anyone? Would you do it a different way?
