The free version above looks legit, but seems to be a 10 year old CS-2 version. However, that should satisfy a lot of users. Thanks to Raydal for announcing this freebie!

The current version of Adobe Photoshop is not free from Adobe, but there is a free 30 day full-powered trial version. You might earn enough money from it in 30 days to pay for it. Or you can just use it to learn Photoshop to improve your skillset.

Many people with limited budgets get the free GIMP image editor - which can do most of what Adobe Photoshop does, but has a different interface.

Then there's Adobe Photoshop Elements, their low cost version which also does much of what the pro version does.

I am using the free version. Works great for me. Also, you get free premier. Best is FREE go live. Do look at it. Yeah, we do not want to pay. Adobe now charges $600 per year. Ouch, that is a lot of money. Still, if you do a lot of web design it is worth every penny. Best strategy is to have on one machine the new version. Just use the old version on your other one.
