FB bot traffic blast?

I noticed on 12/22, that a few of my sites were blasted with FB bots. What's unusual is that there were so many, and not all of my sites were affected.

I say that they were FB bots, because they originated from Menlo Park and Palo Alto, CA (and it says it came from FB LOL).

Thoughts?

    BTW Facebook indexes sites? I haven't known that. If that is the case, how do we ping it?

      Yes. FB usually does this to check if your site is an attack site. There are a lot of people who post attack links on FB. Usually, FB 'probes' domains for every new link for that domain.

        Yeah, that makes sense. I've noticed that their bots work faster than the Googles...if only they had a search engine...
