Payment mode and period for a new Clickbank affiliate?

I opened a ticket in CB for this, but their office would probably be closed for holidays, so checking it here.

For a new affiliate, do they issue paper cheques for the first two payments and then give the option of direct deposit (they offer direct deposits in India) or do they offer direct payments from the start?

Also, is the first affiliate commission sent after the usual one or two week payment frequency or is it a longer period for a new affiliate generating his first commission (since there could be a refund, so they'd probably want to hold the first payment for 60 days)?

Would appreciate help.

Thanks!

To be honest I haven't used them in about a year but they have always had a policy of issuing only paper checks to new accounts for their first two pay periods, unless you have an older account already and you contact them directly

They also pay out two weeks after the payment release date for all members, not just new ones. The refund period is not an issue for them because they hold back a percentage of your payout (I don't know the exact number) but it is hardly noticeable if you have any sizable check.

The default is payment by cheque but you can simply enable direct deposit in your account at any time.

As a new affiliate be aware of the Customer Distribution Requirement and the Payment Threshold.

      See https://accounts.clickbank.com/accounting.html

I just checked their policy on this again and found this:
        https://support.clickbank.com/entrie...s-Getting-Paid

If you're located in an eligible country, once you've received two paper checks from ClickBank within a 12-week time period, you can start receiving payment via direct deposit. Once you become eligible for direct deposit, you can specify this as your payment method in Settings->Payment Information.
I believe that means the direct deposit can only be enabled after 2 paper cheques have been received.

That information is out of date. The 2-cheque rule was removed over a year ago.

Excellent! Just what I wanted to hear. If you could please clarify my other question too:

Also I noticed that they will send earnings at the end of the year even if the amount does not reach threshold.

I am not aware of this. Could you point out where this is stated please.

As ColdWritingLLC pointed out above there is no difference being a new affiliate. The refund problem is handled by the Return Allowance rule (see https://accounts.clickbank.com/accounting.html#A13 )
