thank you for your replies guys. its a wicked feeling. the amount of times I started something and never finished it surprises me.
this one is for keeps though!

funny you should say that but when I first got into IM the niche I wanted to enter was the MMO niche. I learnt everything about the IM niche from OTO's, to butterfly marketing to viral scripts etc. I pretty much know all the theory in the MMO niche but I still didn't make any money.

I had to get away from the MMO niche and here I am today armed with my knowledge and internet skills.

You're learning valuable skills from the MMO niche that can be implemented within other niches.

OTO's, Butterfly Marketing, Viral Scripts etc can all be used within your niche! They aren't excluded from any.

Most niches haven't been bombarded with OTO's, upsells, scarcity etc... like we do in the MMO niche. It can be very lucrative to use these tactics in other areas.

Well done on getting the ball rolling... there are many lurkers that would kill for a first sale. Even if it is under $10. It will only get easier from here!

Congratulations !! I remember my first sale . It was less than yours :-)

That being said I will offer a little advice that has helped me .

Learn to detach your emotions from this business as soon as possible .

As exciting as your first sale is , your first return request can be emotionally devastating . Unless you enjoy an emotional roller coaster , you have to realize that this is business.

Like you said , just keep rinsing and repeating . You are well on your way to more ups than downs .

Nice one Michael, I am still working towards that goal but think it will come in next couple of weeks . I think you are right it is deciding on a plan and sticking with it. I think when you first start out it is to easy to drift from idea /system to another.

Congrats. Once you get a steady stream of traffic coming in, be sure to split test. You'll want to make sure you are getting the highest conversion rate possible.

I couldn't agree with you more about sticking to something. I too jumped around way to much when starting out and didn't begin to see results till I focused!

Hi Mike, Congrats for first sale. When you get the hang of it, you will get addicted to IM! Everyday logging into your affiliate account to check the daily takings is a lot of fun and sometimes a lot of agony. But it is all a learning process.

When I made $500 in a day that was hot still working on duplicating that, so when your trickle turns into a torrent be blessed and be a blessing.

Imagine when you have your own product and a thousand you's promoting you online?

Don't worry if your first commission is small. At least, you made something! I remember that my first commission was for around $7. I was quite glad.

But after sometime, I got about $25. Once you've started, it'll keep on increasing. Just keep up the good work. Work hard and smart!

Way2go. It's just like learning to walk.
Once you've taken the first step, you know you can do it again, and again, and again.
And that's a big difference between theory (and wondering) and practice.

Hey.i think i go with what one of the warriors said..detach your emotions from the business and keep at it consistently..you will definitely begin to see returns..as long as warriors have been making money from particular niches in IM so will others who follow the same principles..this is a great place to share your thoughts and experiences..i love this forum

Hello all and thank you for your supportive comments

I just wanted to give another quick update:

So I went out with the family today, had a Burger King Texican whopper, walked around this and that, telling the misses and the baby that some day I'll be rich. Stopped at the supermarket to get some baby food, got home, logged into my affiliate account and there I see another affiliate sale. So thats 4 affiliate sales todate and counting.

I started saying to myself.
"This is getting too easy, it's ridiculous"

What great about this is that I didn't have to work at it anymore to make the sale. I had built the system and now it was working for me.

I'll be back in abit to tell you how I did it. Gotta give the baby a bath now.
