EZA link question

Hey Warriors!

I may have brain mush so bear with me, but can I submit a Squidoo lens URL in my bio box at EZA? For some reason, I was under the impression that I couldn't because it went squidoo.com/(and then the rest of the name). I thought it had to go to a domainname.com URL.

Am I totally confused?

If I can submit to a Squidoo lens URL, I'll be in Heaven.

  • I have included a link to squidoo lens in several articles recently and they were accepted.
  • Hi Tiff,

Well i'm not sure if it's 100% the same thing, but i have quite a few of my EZA articles linking to a squidoo lens. However, i always use an anchor text link, usually a keyword phrase.

So yes you can definitely link to a squidoo lens, but sorry i have never tried actually just putting in the url, e.g. squidoo.com/*****. (But i'm guessing being the squid "queen bee" you'd know that anyway!!

So sorry, that's as much as i know! I have what's known as permanent brain mush!!

    Cheers

  • Ah thanks guys and gals! I'll go try it - I'm excited now! I've been holding off this whole time. I submitted an article 2 days ago and today got it accepted and it's already #1 in Google. I was excited, so I wanted to get traffic to my lenses this way too.

    • I actually wrote 5 articles on Monday and linked them to an old squidoo lens that had been lauguishing in the depths of squid hell!! for a few months.

The articles got published on Wednesday. Just in those 2 days, that small, tiny effort has pushed the lens into a top 7,000 ranking on squidoo and back onto the top of page 2 in Google for it's main keyword!

So it's kind of inspired me to spruce up that lens!

      Cheers

    • Yes, I have live articles with links to Squidoo lenses!
  • I have used both the anchor text link, as well as the actual squidoo link in my Ezine Articles without any problems.
  • Man the code was too simple for the anchor text too - I was using all sorts of more complicated anchor code to add and it wouldn't take. K.I.S.S. rings true!
