Real Life Love Story turns into desparate need to make money online

Three years ago I met a girl who has now become my best friend and the love of my life. Our first date was a heavy metal concert where she encouraged me to stir up a mosh pit while she helped push the crowd around. I realized a girl this down to earth and beautiful is definitely a keeper. What's interesting is that I soon found out she is the niece of my eccentric (and very memorable) high school chemistry teacher, what are the odds!?

She originally moved from Wisconsin to my hometown in Florida due to job relocation. After a few years of her soul-sucking corporate job, she's completely over it and has decided to move back to Wisconsin to be with her family. So over our Christmas vacation to WI this year, she landed a high-paying job in her hometown and will be moving back at the end of JANUARY....in about 4 weeks from now. We are still very much in love and she wants to take me with her.

This leaves me in a bind. On Christmas, I asked her Father and Step-Father if I can marry their daughter and they both gave me their blessings. I'm ready to take the next step and marry this girl, also ready to quit my IT job and start looking for a job in WI.

I feel I am at a crossroad in my life. I want to follow her, but I don't want to be a bum on the couch with no job. My ultimate goal is to make money online. I even opened a business under my name to get serious about this. I made myself a budget and found I have to bring in at least $2,000/month to support myself and pay my bills.

I have experience with a product launch using Kajabi, Aweber email marketing, video production, making custom Wordpress websites, maintaining membership sites, squeeze page design, photoshop and some illustrator, HTML/CSS coding...I also have a really great idea for a blog in the "healthy food" niche.

(Most of these things were done for other people and not for my own business/product)

Warriors....if you were chasing your future-spouse and were driven by love or whatever reason to make at least $2k/month...what would you do? Blog? Affiliate? Product Creation? Something else?

Thanks in advance,

A Not-So-Hopeless Romantic

Jason

Wisconsin? Really?? You poor soul! Please don't become a Packers fan, then I'd have to hate you as it's required to be a Viking's fan.

But seriously, it sounds like you have what it takes to create a product and sell it through WSOs or your own site or both.

Haha! Don't worry...I'm a Jaguars fan for life (I'm from Jacksonville), and thus no threat to anyone.

I am very interested in WSOs. I've launched a product for my dad's real estate business and I may revisit that and then make a WSO of my tactics. (Got 200 memberships in 1 week from launch for his real estate course)

No idea how to compile the WSO but i'm sure I can find it on this endless forum.

I also made a local musician facebook group which exploded and grew to literally over 500 members in a week, but had no idea how to monetize it! It has since lost steam.

Still wondering if a blog would be profitable at all. It would be fun because it's something I enjoy but I'm sure I can make more money elsewhere.

I have the skills, but im all over the place at this point looking for direction.

Whoah! That's got to be love. To move from sunny Florida to Wisconsin?
I'm sure that with your skillset you'll either find another job or get established
    online.

BTW, I moved from the Caribbean (sunny) to New York city 19 years
ago for love and just celebrated my 19th wedding anniversary. I didn't
know where I would find a job either. Love makes us do crazy things.

That's a sweet story. My husband followed me to college. --He's old too so it wasn't easy for him to stop everything and follow me. Now we are expecting baby number 2. I hope it all works out for you.

So my best advice for long term money in that range would be offline marketing. I say this because it'll get you off the couch and will show your future wife that you are determined to work.

There are TONS of ways to build money with offline marketing. You mentioned you know how to make wordpress sites -- start there and move on as you can. Upsales can be marketing, SEO and mobile websites. Build an amazing website to promote yourself and offer your services to businesses in a certain niche at a time.

There are other things you can do concerning offline marketing as well. Spend some time in the forum and you'll discover TONS of worth wild ideas and methods worth trying.

I don't recommend selling WSOs but promoting them is a good idea. Put a free WSO to make a list and promote ones in a similar niche. Building WSO's isn't easy and takes some time and there is a ton of risk. Unless you decide to do a WSO a week kind of thing - you are going to struggle big time and it'll take awhile to find affiliates to promote your goodies for you. Once you have your own list that is responsive then put out a paid WSO. It's all about patience in the WSO selling to me.

Other long term options include Kindle publishing - it's more profitable than blogging because you make money per sale. The build up is a bit quicker as well. The writer takes the longest amount of time so it's something you can do on the side of the above.

    So good luck.

I agree love can make people do crazy things. Your story is sweet and so is Ray's story above.

Though i've had a little success with building websites..I'm leaning more towards product creation, marketing my own products online and building affiliates.

I didn't even think about Kindle publishing. Thank you for that. Maybe i'll work on that on the side and try to drive traffic to it via the blog.

    Hi Jason,

Before becoming attached to a channel go to The Source

Visualize yourself for 10 minutes each day looking at your bank account and seeing an extra $2,000 each month. Doing so attracts to you the perfect money making ideas and circumstances that lead to the 2K a month.

Example; after visualizing for a bit and feeling your image to be real you will naturally see the list of suggestions above, confidently follow a set source and create the money.

    Hope this helps!

I moved halfway around the world for that reason. Crazy stuff.

Whatever you do, get it going. It sounds like you know enough and just need get a plan together and start. I've found it helpful to make a deadline for my planning or I find myself in paralysis by analysis mode.

    Good luck.

Great story, I'd wish you guys luck but it doesn't seem you'll need it (relationship-wise) the couples that last always have a great story about how they met/got together/got serious so I'm betting you guys will be fine.

      As for an online biz...
If you already possess all of those skills, why not just offer services?

Just what you mentioned are valuable skills, and anything you can't perform yourself, you can always outsource and mark it up.

How would you offer these skills online? Is there a forum on here to network with people needing these services?

There's plenty of places to offer services. Here on this forum in the classified section is just one option. You can also check out the report in my sig. I hate to shamelessly promote my sig, but the info is relevant to the questions your asking...

    That I can live with.

There's a good post by WillR about WSOs. Something like, "What I've learned in $40,000 of WSO bumps."

    Your story is so awesome!

I love romantic encounters and thrill of
taking the next step in life because of
    love.

...I know the feeling all too well

Anyway, it sounds like you had a plan
all along, why not execute it?

I don't think you're as lost as you think
you are, you're just in a whirlwind right
now and you think you have no direction,
    but you do!

With all your experience and the results
you got with your dad's real estate
membership, you CAN create a WSO on
that alone with the angle being, "Make
Money Online WITHOUT being in the
    MMO niche!"

Why not try to find a job, and sell services you can do online to make extra money at the same time?

Internet business needs time to build, and not a quick solution for your money problem.
