Recurring Billing Software with Client Portal : Suggestions Appreciated

Hi,
I'm looking for an online system for recurring billing for a service that I provide - almost something like WHMCS but that's not so heavily customized for web hosting. And yes, I do know that WHMCS can be customized for non-hosting-products, but I'd rather find a basic system that can scale up.

The features I'd need are:
1) the ability to bill recurring subscriptions (hopefully via PayPal)
2) the ability for clients to login to a private billing portal or account (in the same way that WHMCS has) where the client can change/upgrade/downgrade services

I've been looking at Chargify, Reculry, as well as Wordpress-based solutions but I was wondering if there are other options out there that people have used.

    We recently made the switch to Ontraport (formerly OfficeAutoPilot) and I am absolutely LOVING their UI.

    It's not cheap but it's extremely powerful and it can automate also everything. It also has the customer center where they can manage subscriptions/billing.

    They integrate with PayPal, Stripe and just about every other processor out there.

    Hi Anton, ontraport is too much expensive, I recommend Service Provider Pro and A Member Pro - both are good and within reasonable price.

    Woocommerce subscriptions does all that. And you can add the memberships to limit content.

    My friend run a small business in the home. In my free time do work as a part-time employee. So I know the business flow, for site maintenance or layout changes,etc.. services provided to a customer in monthly or yearly. For this purpose using Apptivo Invoice for generating recurring invoice sometimes we needed to share a bulk of documents to our clients. Now I relieve do part time job, my friend said many new features are added in Invoice.
