newbie looking for guidance on setting up membership site

here's the situation. i'm very new to internet marketing and i have a product I am looking to sell and provide premium content through a website with it as a bonus.

the product will primarily be sold on amazon and I want a way to deliver a password to the purchaser to gain access to the the private area of the site. Because I'm so new, I am having trouble researching how I might do it - I don't even know the search terms.

I already have a wordpress plugin that can handle a membership area but I am not sure about delivery of passwords to paying customers.

if anyone can provide any helpful leads to figuring this out, I would really appreciate it!

if there's a better way to do what I'm after, that would also be great

I don't know what plugin you are using for the site. Here is a video from Membership cube that gives great FREE information on creating a membership site fast.

    Enjoy

I have been using EasyQuickMember It's a Premium WordPress plugin and it works well and is very simple to set up.

They also have great support and documentation.

    Hope this helps

Hi, just Google WPMU Member and you can get their premium plugin for only $19 or if you go to the WP plugin depository you can get their light version for free. Their light version might do everything you need or for $19 you can't beat their full version.

The customer service is some of the best I've ever encountered.

Feel free to tell them Patrick Shelley sent you as well.

I'm not an affiliate obviously as I am not linking to them and have nothing to gain.

Unfortunately, I don't think anyone is giving you the answer you need which is, how do I integrate my wordpress site to automatically send a userID and password when someone buys my course off of Amazon. I currently do not know of any membership software that does this but others might be able to give you some insight. Part of this might be that Amazon does not want to share the email address of the buyer.

One thing to consider though, is this allowed on the Amazon platform. You need to check the terms and conditions. For example, you can't just sell a downloadable product on eBay, you have to actually send them something, like your course on a thumb drive. Make sure Amazon will allow you to do something like this.

For my membership sites I use Digital Access Pass but I can't see that they integrate with the Amazon seller platform except for S3, SES and maybe amazon payments.

      This is easy to answer!

I'd recommend you use a plugin called DAP (Digital access pass)

      Works great with OptimizePress.

Why not include a link in the book for bonus material? I see people do that on kindle all the time.

Ty, or anyone else in this room that may be using DAP...

I am trying to get DAP all setup and integrated with my merchant account at NMI, but I can't seem to locate a shopping cart plugin (that doesn't charge monthly) that documents integration with NMI.

We are currently using WooCommerce with Mijireh (which charges 0.50/transaction) and it has worked flawlessly, but we are moving into offering subscriptions and other features that only DAP supports.

Any suggestions, experiences, or anecdotes would be greatly appreciated.

        Thanks guys
