Do you outsource your content to someone else?

If so, do you mind listing resources?

As far as content goes you aren't going to find good content from a larger resource - you can always get cheap work done internationally from elance and odesk but the quality leaves something to be desired. I would recommend looking in the 'Warriors for Hire" section here on the forum.

Or you could always PM me and I'd be happy to help.

You're assuming too much. Just because someone writes content for low rates doesn't mean the content sucks. Not everyone writes for money. Many excellent writers write to broaden their horizons. Many, like myself, write because they LOVE to write.

I think a number of sites that spent a lot of resources outsourcing the content have been hammered hard by Google in the last year or so. The quality really needs to be excellent an outsourcing it so often leads down the wrong path over time. You may start off with good intentions but if it just becomes a content Mill, as you start trying to be cost effective view oftensee the quality suffer.

  • Actually, we offer low prices and outsource the work we get to writers who live in America (we have an all American team with good grammar). I started out as a full-time freelance writer and worked my way up - been doing this for many years now.
What about you - are you looking for someone to outsource the work to?

I used to outsource, until I realise writing my own content is much better, because:

When you outsource, you have to check whether the content is spun or is just not good. Google knows when your content is spun, even when it passes copyscape.

While you're checking your paid content, and not entirely sure if it is spun or not, then it's best to write your own.

I pretty much outsource everything that I do. Lol.

Sources, elance, forums such as this. Once you find a good one, dont let them go.

You can find a number of experienced writers in the Warrior for hire section. We write content too, and the thing is that, our writers are trained in writing content for the readers, so it converts well, while making sure that its optimized enough to get Google's attention.

If you need writers who'll spend a considerable amount of time doing research, so your articles are the best they can be on that subject, then PM me.

I don't outsource my writing work.

I tried a couple of times but never found the right writer so just decided to keep on working by myself.

I would outsource other tasks though, maybe blog commenting, etc.

I have answered this before and this is strictly my opinion.

If I want quality I use Elance

If I want inexpensive I use Odesk

With that said, I am currently awaiting some writing I contracted a warrior forum member to do for me, Prices are good and if the quality is there he will be my go to guy for my content needs

Most of mine outsourcing is done on fiverr and few times on freelancing sites like elance, odesk

I think outsourcing is essential, because it frees up your time to do the things that actually grow your business.

I could spend the first 45 minutes of my day putting together the same reports, or I could hire some guy in India to do it for cheap; saving my own time to find new keywords and grow the accounts.

      Hi,
Would it be $6 for 800 words. Do you use good English and is English your first language?
I've been burned before on articles. May I tell you how I want it to sound?

    Hi,
If you want quality content you are going to have to pay about $20 a page and that is for a 400-500 word post. Why don't you write your own content? Have you set up a Google Alerts account? It's free and you can be alerted about the newest practices in you niche. You can go to BloggerScope to find out what's going on, as well.
Good luck to you in the New Year.

  • If writing content is something you don't like doing or can't do well then you should definitely outsource. No point in forcing yourself to write if you can or you simply don't want to. Your time and money would be better spent looking for a great content writer.

^^This is all you need to worry about. Let's face it -- there are lots of things we'd rather not do ourselves (or simply don't know how to do), and we're willing to pay someone to do them for us.

The key is finding someone you can trust. Lots of people on this thread have brought up concerns over low-quality content, content that doesn't sound like you wrote it, or content that's been plagiarized or spun. However, if you've got an experienced writer that you trust, none of these concerns will ever be an issue.

Now, are you going to get that kind of service for $5 a pop? No. But spending some extra money on quality content is a whole lot better than trying to force yourself to sit down and write when you really don't want to -- or publishing stuff that isn't very good because you had a million other things to worry about. If you do that, you'll actually wind up losing alot more money in the end than you would have spent paying a good writer.

I write articles for my own sites but I have a group of writers who wrote for my customers. I outsource my backlinking though.

Well, I'm on the receiving end. I work as a virtual assistant slash freelance writer and I could say that many still outsource their works. Try Odesk or forums such as this.

For my run of the mill information sites I have a couple of suppliers the content is good and on par with the larger sites on page one. For review sites I usually tend to write theae myself as I'm looking to add value and only recommend something I actually think is good. I also have specialist sites that I outsource and pay what some people would see as a premiuim for the content this is because they are often written by specialists and are more like research papers.

I guess I'm self advertising just a teeny bit here, but a lot of people outsource to me, so I know that some people do it.

The key is to find writers that you like, that's where things can get tough.

I only outsource content that I include for free as a "bonus" for my product brands. For instance, if I want to create a product around golf (golf gloves etc), I may outsource the writing of a free report about the topic (especially because I know little about it.) I really like iwriter, but for higher quality, it's best to use sites like elance or odesk and interview your writers. Good luck!

It depends on what you are outsourcing and what level of quality you need. Personally I don't outsource anything and I actually take on content creation jobs myself. I charge more than the cheaper writers but my content isn't respun crap.

If you don't like a task but it's necessary to your success - outsource it. Just make sure you aren't doing harm to your business by outsourcing to a low level of quality.

Right now, I don't outsource any content because I am in a niche that I am what you would call an "expert" in. But, when I start venturing off into different niches, I will outsource my content when I have the funds to do so.
