Generally speaking, a ghostwriter gives you all rights to materials she or she produces. You take credit for the writing. It's as if the ghostwriter never existed since, for all intents and purposes, YOU wrote the text. Of course there are a wide range of ghostwriter-client relationships: a ghostwriter can be more of a collaborator or the ghostwriter can run with the whole project and hand you the final product in addition to support materials. These materials can range from sales page to AR sequence to ad materials to even voice over scripts for video materials.

Correct - the 'ghost' part of ghostwriting implies that the writer is neither seen nor heard by anyone, except of course the person they are writing for.

Writer retains their rights unless specifically (right-by-right) they sell them.

Ghostwriter sells them all to the client.

A ghostwriter sits with a white sheet over him while he writes so nobody can see him.

A ghostwriter is a writer who writes books, articles, stories, reports, or other texts that are officially credited to another person. Celebrities, executives, and political leaders often hire ghostwriters to draft or edit autobiographies, magazine articles, or other written material. In music, ghostwriters are often used for writing songs and lyrics. Screenplay authors can also use ghost writers to either edit or rewrite their scripts in order to improve them, increasing their chances to be optioned or produced. Also, ghost writers may work on accompanying documents, such as treatments for screenplays.

By hiring a ghost writer, you can take credit for the content created, without sharing a backlink or credit to the original author. This might be an important factor for sites that don't want to have too many outbound links.
