Can someone give me the name of a theme, or page where I can download a theme that contains a formfield where users can enter their email address, and get RSS updates?

Preferably a "GAzette-type" theme.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

DeShon

You could probably find a plugin for WordPress that will do that. I also believe iThemes has a theme that has it built in. Flexx Professional... if I'm not mistaken. I may be wrong about that though.

    Hope that helps.

That type of thing is not in a theme but is a plugin you use. You can use feedburner to burn your rss feed and they will give you a form to add to you theme then deliver via email.

OK I've found the plugin, and I also found a cool video on using Feedburner for RSS.

Here's the like to the plugin: Creating your WordPress feed (self-hosted WordPress) - FeedBurner Help

Here's the link to the video: How To Use FeedBurner With WordPress

I am in NO WAY affiliatated with any of this... just passing along information for those that are interested.

You can also use aWeber for this purpose. Basically, you just create an opt-in form requesting email only.

Then you use the "Blog Broadcast" feature inside aweber to setup to send an email to all subscribers as soon as a new post is created. This works much like Feedburner.

The reason I like it better than Feedburner is because you can also send normal broadcasts, autoresponders, etc.

With Feedburner, Google controls your subscribers. With aWeber, you control them. That's a big reason I prefer this method too.

That's a pretty good feature within Aweber... I use GetResponse, and unless I'm totally missing this option... they don't offer this. So until I can figure this out with GetResponse I'll have to use Feedburner in the meantime.

      Thanks Jason.
