  • Why make a choice... its a good idea to do as much marketing as possible. Video marketing is fantastic and the search engines are more likely rank video highly, with that said video is not the only game in town. You don't want to put all you eggs in one basket that's a good way to get wiped out by rule changes.
  • Thank you for advice. Video marketing just seemed easier for me and was just wondering what I should spend more time on.

    • I like the combination of both. Video marketing to drive traffic to my website. Use video marketing to drive traffic and your website to capture leads and make sales.

  • Why not do both?

Use Videos to drive traffic to your website
Use Your Website to Drive Traffic to your affiliate offers
  • There is no easy answer to this - they should really be used hand in hand.

Video Marketing -> Website Squeeze Page -> Email List -> Promote Offers
  • both marketing are best to get most leads

    • How do you send a link to your video or infographic inside of a blog post and what site should you submit the article for the most juice so google will pick it up and associate the two.

      Thanks i am new!

  • I believe that video marketing is superior. However, be careful of who is hosting your movies. They might complain of bandwidth use. Most will claim it is excessive. Also, they probably have a lot of rules in their terms of service. Read up on TOS and find out what they allow you.

    • In order to use video as a method of traffic, you need it to point to a website. Video is then a method, such as using pinterest, or FB or twitter, or banner ads or anything else to draw traffic to your site, and or your offer.

So in essence each of the above I have mentioned are "Tools" and your website is the "Machine". The Machine is what sells the product. The "Tools" are just that, "tools" to making that happen.

SEO is a tool in itself. however, in site development, it does not take long to enable this tool. Due some research learn how easy it really is. Focus on content, and writing that content with SEO in mind. Its not that hard.

So I am in the use both, DUH!! category.

      Hope that Helps!
  • It depends on what you want to achieve.

You can create a pretty significant web property in something like a popular YouTube channel. If your only goal is to generate revenue through views as a YouTube partner then you can focus solely on that (although, I think that's probably limiting the potential a popular channel has). The other potential issue with it is that you're ultimately creating content for someone elses site, and you don't have utlimate control.

Most people use traditional video marketing as a method of driving traffic to their own web properties, using squeeze pages or opt in forms to capture visitors email address (exactly like Simon mentioned) so they have the opportunity to build relationships with them (which is where the real money is).

I only just avoided the temptation to type 'Simon says' in that sentence
  • Video marketing is a quite effective way for website marketing. In order to get more traffic and commissions the video content is very important, it is not only should be niche related but also need to has something convince the potential clients.
  • It is always good to have your own blog and have a home base.

But a blog / website alone won't just start cranking out visitors it takes work.

I like video marketing because every day millions of videos are being uploaded and there are millions and millions of people watching videos.

What better way is it than to present them something of value through video?

It can be difficult to learn video marketing, but I'll say if you can do it , it can be very worth it!
