What to put on the contact us page address if you don't have a local office

I'm about to launch my own website and I'm currently setting up the small details. One of it is to setup the contact us page address, but still don't know what to put if you don't have a local office?

I'm sure many of our fellow Warriors works from home and own their website. I am still hesitant to put my own home address as it might cause me some security issue or something in the future.

Any word of advice regarding this?

Just put an email form so people can contact you through email. If you have a phone number, you can put that too.

You are not obliged to use your home/business address on the internet.

If YOU have a business address/number which you have no problem sharing, then you can use it on your contact pages, places, directories etc. But since you are working from home, just have a contact form (not an email address) -people may steal your email and spam you.

When real clients get in touch with you, reveal other info like email, phone number when applicable.

Some email providers want you to put your address on the email footer, in that case you can just write City, Country.

If you want to, you could use a "virtual" address and have any mail sent to it forwarded to you. Any number of providers of such a service. Check some out in your area.

Put your home address there can be a good solution if you don't have an office.
But if there will be some security issues, I think you can put your phone number, email form, and your IM such as skype. As long as people can contact you by phone, everything will be okay. At least they can make sure that you are human by listening to your voice.
But in future, you may consider to rent a virtual office for your office and postal address.
