Will a new email address cause a 'spam' label?

I have a list I send auto responders out to. The email address I specify in my autoresponder thing, is my personal email.

I'm thinking that I should change the email to something like 'newsletter@mydomain.com' because I also develop consulting relationships with people on my list and if they put one of my newsletters into their 'Promotions' gmail folder, I guess one-to-one emails could go in there, too, if it's sent from the same email address.

I only have one email address on my domain set up. Am I correct in thinking that new email addresses are sometimes labelled as spam?

In other words if I set up a new email address up: 'newsletter@mydomain.com' -- might my newsletters then get labelled as spam?

(I don't send spam. I expect my domain and my currently active email will be in good standing with Google, etc. So this question is only about whether a new email address might cause a spam label.)

Normally the email address itself shouldn't affect the spam score, its the content of the email itself, you just need to make sure your subscribers have you on their white list for that email address.

I will tell you from personal experience, if I am used to getting emails from joe@somedomain.com and all of a sudden I get an email from newsletter@differentdomain.com, SPAM. Warn people you will be changing email addresses and that will cut down on the number of people hitting the spam notice...
