Should I charge monthly or have a one time fee?

Hi all

I have a saxophone teaching website and I have recently launched my website membership on clickbank (although there is still work to be done)

Currently I am charging $37 for lifetime access which most people think is under priced considering that private tuition can cost $40 an hour for good teachers. I have a range of video tutorial and guides for my students to learn the saxophone.

What are people's opinions on charging per month compared to a one off payment? If someone was fast at moving through all my videos then they could finish the course in about 2-3 months. So after this time they could potentially stop their subscription and I could get less money. (have I just answered my own question here?)

If I was to go down the monthly payment route, what would you consider a fair price which people would be willing to pay?

thanks

Do you constantly update with new videos/guides/tutorials?

If not, then consider a (higher priced) one-time payment.

Currently It has just launched so I am focusing on other things. However I will probably add an extra video lesson each week and a couple of articles

I think a one-time payment is alright but the price should be a little bit higher.

Similar websites such as this are only $27 though (Piano Lessons For Beginners | Online Piano Lessons)

If you are giving online teaching on daily basis or 2 or 3 times in a week so charge lower then a SAXOPHONE TRAINING INSTITUTE.and IF you are offering a video or an ebook. So i also consider to charge higher but fair price.

It's pretty much an evergreen niche, there will always be a stream of new customers. I would keep it at a one-off, but raise the price.
There is no way anyone could tell in advance how much you can charge before your revenue will drop off. The best thing would be to raise the price and see what the response is. You could do some promotion along the lines of "Price going up in February".

Might even be able to get a few "press releases", and more if you decide to reduce the price.
